Ya smart. I always take store delivery as well. Their problem if something goes wrong. And I must prefer to just head to the store at my own convenience than having to wait all day for the delivery dude + it’s super easy to miss sometimes too then they just head off and leave you some note. Tracking says delivery attempted. Half the times they never even actually attempt anything. Just mark it as that

There is a pretty much perfect workaround.

Set Night Shift to "Scheduled"

Tap on the "From/To" menu, from there select "Custom Schedule"

Pick a time when you will almost never be using your phone, in this case using 4am as an example:

"Turn On": 4:00 AM "Turn Off" 3:59 AM

It's a shame there isn't a setting for it, but this works just as well.

Yea, I tried really hard to advocate for myself and I think I did a decent job, the lady at the Verizon store called and she really did try to get me a new phone overnight shipped. However, I really think that the 256 GB should be enough storage for me. I just can’t stand feeling taken advantage of. As long as I’m getting refunded for the phone I never received, it is what it is. Just very frustrating overall.

I was a Samsung user for a decade and TBH it was hard to come out of my shell to buy an iPhone until I finally did for the 14 Pro Max. I guess years and years of promise just brought me down to my knees, a stuttering mess, shutter lag, average to just good battery life, and my S21 Ultra that has the Exynos Processor(no choice since market doesn't sell snapdragon) some apps just lags often, the phone heats up like crazy until I noticed that the adhesive on the back panel just degraded/melted to the point that back panel is popping off due to what the service center said (overheating of the phone) and they blamed me for using the phone too much on mobile data.

Finally bit the bullet with the 14 Pro Max. The experience is just wow in terms of fluidity and app optimization standpoint. I never used my Samsung Phone like a Power user should (i.e Multitasking). The universal back button, home screen customization, and google assistant were the only ones that I missed but other than that after a month I am now completely used to iOS. Battery life is superb, and it runs way cooler than my Samsung Phone even while using 5G.

If it's any consolation; when I migrated my text messages from my moto z3 to my iphone 13 mini it was an imperfect migration. very often it would only sync one half of a conversation. Sometimes my messages, sometimes the messages I received. Sometimes it would alternate chunks for either party, completely removing context but still making it look like we were conversing.

edited to change tesxt to text and 14 to 13

This, to me anyway, is the most frustrating part of the whole thing. Very rarely do we not get compensated when these things happen nowadays, so that’s just an inconvenience. But the fact that it derailed your due diligence is the killer. Try not to let it ruin your trip.

I worked in a FedEx Ground hub. 99.9% of thefts are always in the warehouse before they even get to the trucks for delivery.

I’m sorry for your stolen phone. It happens a lot in the warehouses.

There have been bugs in the attempt-counting code, exploitable by GrayKey.

Also, iPhone X & before have a boot ROM bug letting you DFU unsigned payloads, but that doesn't help get the key for flash encryption.

Neither of these techniques seem like something Apple would use.
