Never understand why people will take the time to write a long ass post on Reddit for such a simple solution. Just file a claim with UPS. This stuff happens all the time

I was the same way when I switched from Pixel to the iPhone 13. I was blown away at fluidity, app optimization, etc. Just super smooth, incredible processor. But, a year later, I just really missed Android, flaws and all. You're only a couple months in; I'm curious to see if your opinion changes in a year like mine did. Don't get me wrong though, if I still had an iPhone, I'd enjoy it. But Android is home for me apparently.

I’ve tried many cases, most recently the Mous cases that are often recommended, but nothing comes close in my opinion that Rhinoshield cases. These fit very snuggly and feel so great in the hand, something most brands solidly miss. For something you hold so long, you’d think brands would spend more time in how it feels in the hand. 100% Rhinoshield, it may be the last case brand I ever use.

What it really meant is that if other carrier has no problem setting up an esim on the spot while following the same regulations set by the same government, the hardships you have encountered have more to do with Airtel itself.

The issue is not with you picking Airtel but with Airtel being too slow at adopting esim, especially so in a country where authentication via phone and message is commonplace.

Out of curiosity, do physical sim all come with PIN code over there?

They’ll just but the imei of the stolen phone on a list of stolen phones and it will never be able to be activated. In other words it will be worthless to whomever has it.

Might not be your biggest worry right now, bur 266GB will be enough, I have it and take a lot of pictures and 4k videos, and I haven't ran out of any storage. Good luck!

This is why I refuse to buy certain things via online purchases. For a phone, I walk right into that Apple Store and purchase first hand. While OP might not have that option, which I can understand, somethings I don't chance.

/u/i__jump I'm sure you've already gotten great advice here. Best of luck to getting a replacement.

You got your refund quickly and you got a new phone before your trip (albeit not in the exact configuration you wanted). I’d say that’s about as good as it gets in these types of situations. Verizon handled it well, you didn’t seem to have to argue with them about it, and you were made whole.

Do you happen to know how much you used on your previous phone? I'm not restrictive in any way on my 256GB model and it still has plenty of space. I don't record a lot of video, but have tons of pictures. Music is mostly via Spotify so there's not a ton downloaded for offline use.

It still sucks that this happened and I wish they could more easily catch the thieves. However, maybe if you look at your old phone capacity usage you can determine if the 256 GB is really an issue or not. Otherwise, Verizon should have a 30-day(ish) return policy and you could potentially return it to another Verizon store during your trip and get a larger capacity phone.

Don’t know what the bad reviews are saying but I’ve had a Casetify case on my phone for over a year. No problems at all with it. I’ve dropped my phone multiple times and the case isn’t even dinged. The graphics on the case are still bright and are not scratched. I don’t use magsafe but I do have a ring holder attached.

It's freaking horrible, but I always remember one that is top notch.

Basically, in Spain there was a film named "El Niño" (The Child in english), so everytime I write el niño... something, it auto correct it to the uppercase one, you may think, well, it's not that bad.

But:

  1. I never, ever talked about the film nor wrote it nor searched it... nothing that gave the AI a hint about the film
  2. What are the freaking odds in real life that I talk about a film MORE than I could write the word CHILD. I mean, IT'S SOMETHING COMMON ENOUGH VS A FILM RELEASED IN 2014 THAT NO ONE TALKS ABOUT ANYMORE.

Edit: Also, since it continually reword it even when I manually go backwards and change it to lowercase, it's a perfect combination to drive me wild. Prob will end just turning it off, which is sad.
