I get that if your 14PM had a physical SIM tray, you could’ve have avoided that hassle. But I can’t shake the feeling that about 99% of that is just overregulation and bureaucratic inefficiency. As well as that carriers specific rules.

Edit: how long should Apple have held out on pure eSIM, in your opinion? Serious, respectful question

How can it disappear from their device list? How can they get an email that find iPhone has been turned off? Apple Genius Bar was helping her track it and watched it disappear. It that different that removing it from iCloud/removing the iCloud lock?

I just use GBoard to have it work decently. I don't give a fuck about the regular iOS keyboard with which I'm only...entering passwords from my password manager (Keychain)

I received a consistent flow of spam right up until the end of the midterm elections. Coming from a Pixel, it surprised me to receive so much spam content right as a switched over to my first iPhone. I decided to check my auto-filtered messages on the old phone and, sure enough, all the election and random spam had already been removed from my inbox. It never asked for my attention once. I definitely miss that and the smart call screening as well.

Can you see the inside of the phone through a hole in the glass? If no, screen replacement at an apple authorized place will be your best bet. If yes, contact apple via their chat bot or phone line and they can do an express replacement, basically they send you a new phone, you send the old one back
