Ya these iTunes errors are such A PAIN. I’ve had one that wouldn’t go away. For new devices.

I even had an error occur during an update now that makes the phone unusable unless you restore. But of course the error happened on restore too. So it was just locked in the plug in mode grrrrr

If you do this it will work Change cables. It’s probably the connection between usb and computer. Might not seem like it but likely the case

Update iTunes to its newest software version

If nothing works. You have to use another laptop or computer.

If still nothing works. Just go into apple they will do it

I agree, every single one including expensive branded goes yellow around the edges after a while. The only solution I’ve found is to get one with a hard transparent back and black edges but that’s not really a clear case.

So many of these threads about AppleCare+ annoy me because they ignore the most important AppleCare+ benefit: Express Replacement.

With AppleCare+ for iPhone, you always have the right to request an Express Replacement in lieu of a Genius Bar repair or mail in repair. This applies both to accidental damage repairs (subject to a $99 deductible) or hardware defects (no deductible).

With Express Replacement, Apple sends you a new or "equivalent to new" iPhone and when you receive it you ship back your defective iPhone. Apple places a hold on your credit card equal to the value of the iPhone until they receive the defective iPhone back.

In my opinion, the only reason not to opt for Express Replacement is if you need a screen only and/or back glass only repair subject to the lower $29 deductible.

If you can't afford to have a repair hold equal to the value of your iPhone on your credit card for about a week, I'd argue that you really can't afford said iPhone in the first place.

Note: "Equivalent to new" replacement products from Apple are just that: Equivalent to new. Impossible to tell that they're not brand new unless you were told so. Don't believe anyone who says otherwise.

TLDR: Once the OP purchases AppleCare+ for their iPhone, they should reach out to Apple Support (I recommend over chat), describe their issue, then request for an Express Replacement.

Which model? I’ve had a 14PM do this as well. Plenty of discussions with Apple support over their app chat feature. On a replacement after the camera grinding so it isn’t leftover damage from that issue either. All the troubleshooting and diagnostics show “no issue” but I do get questioned about my MagSafe OtterBox case and if I’ve had it mounted to a motorcycle or bike (have not). In person I’ve talked to att store and apple authorized Best Buy who looked at the phone and then my blurry photos and are also confused. Best advice I got was from Att store to keep making contact with apple using the chat exclusively so you have a record. It is easy to do from the support app.

I prefer the protection of TPU. Currently using an Amazon branded case for $7 on an iPhone 13 PM. At that price, I’ll just replace it every other year. I bought 3 cases, so I’m good until the iPhone 19, which is my upgrade routine.

Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage and see if “Offload Unused Apps” in enabled.

The setting is used to remove apps with the least amount of use from your phone while still retaining the actual app data, so nothing actually gets lost.
