Mine will occasionally do it when I put in AirPods and click the play pause button, if it can’t find the last app open it just goes to Apple Music

This, I could not figure out how to reliably say it to where it made sense but this is it everyone, no need to do the trick, iOS takes care of it and that is exactly why Apple seemingly hasn't "fixed" the non issue

The only time I have had it be an issue is when I was tight on space and there was an iOS update. It seems to not force this for an update but does for day to day use as needed.

iPhone 7 loop disease (on restart it would take extra long to boot up because it's looping.). The audio often chip dies with this issue. Happened to mine a few years ago. Now I use mine as a webcam.

Majority of users do not need to be doing this though. I'm all for helping folks with 0KB left, but if you don't know why step 3 of this process is essential, you could really mess things up for yourself.

Just to clarify, if your device's date/time is that far out of sync and you're trying to log in, you could get an account locked just as a security measure. Every app trying to do that? Yeah, "system data" wouldn't be your biggest problem anymore.

Is there a task you would perform on your phone where you would notice the difference in storage speeds?

Check for steam or moisture inside the camera under the camera lens glass. Also as other have said , make sure the camera lens is clean you can wipe it with alcohol and a microfiber cloth

Same. It did it at my old job for some reason. Whenever I was there it suddenly was off by an hour. It eventually fixed itself, but for a few months it was like that. It was just that little pocket at and around work.
