Hell yeah man. Here’s a screenshot of my admin folder:
- Fing is a network scanner. You can use it to get information about your current internet connection. It can scan your Wi-Fi to detect other devices that are connected to the network, alert you if any unknown devices try to connect, run speed tests, find open ports and security vulnerabilities on your router, and you can use ping and traceroute tools.
- Usage - System Widgets will tell you all about your phone’s storage breakdown, memory usage, network details, and tons of detailed hardware and software specs about your device. And you can create custom widgets with any of this information!
- Network Utility is very similar to Fing, but you can also track data sent and received over a monitored period of time.
- Net Analyzer is yet another network information app. Only new functionality compared to the other ones is its ability to also analyze any connected VPNs
- System Status has a bunch of fun technical information it’s great. but my favorite thing is the real-time graphs it provides of your phones cpu and memory usage, and network activity.
- BT Inspector will scan for any nearby Bluetooth devices, which you can then connect to and interrogate to find out information about them
- CPU-x will give you super detailed technical information about your phone’s hardware, and it has diagnostic tools you can use to check out how your device is performing. it can also clean up memory usage
- iCharging will give you tons of details about your phone’s battery, and you can use it to run tests to determine the speed and capacity of your chargers
- Ampere Test, similarly, can test charging speeds. It can also measure the battery usage of your other apps
Pretty cool, right?? :D …. god im such a nerd lmao

Thanks for the tip. It's unfortunate that this is even necessary on iOS. I initially moved away from Android to iOS to avoid silly UX issues like this, but I suppose tech is tech at the end of the day

Maybe step zero would be to set iMessage retention to unlimited first

Compare transfer speeds through lightning port of 13 pro Max and 14 pro max and die inside a little. 14 pro max is using 20 year old usb tech - they went backwards in quality on several crucial components of the 14 lineup for cost and availability issues. Should’ve just delayed launch.

No. They are definitely mid range because the Pros are Apple’s high end flagship

How would they with this complicated procedure. Apple should just add a "purge cached items" button within the storage section in settings. They can then explain what it does and what could be deleted. They do it on MacOS.

I’m reading this thread and wondering the same. I had an issue with system data on my iPad so I did a hard reboot and it went down considerably and hasn’t come back. I don’t understand this convoluted process people are going through.

Or just buy a 1 TB phone and not worry about it.
Or get one of those external storage dongles.

Thank you so much but i’m not using any kind of lens cover, and i’m aware that lens flare is a thing but this looked a little excessive, i mean a huge reflection.. My former phone was a Galaxy s10+ and it never did such a thing. It didn’t perform well either but this? No. I tried changing the angle too, tried taking the same photo from across the other side of the room etc, it’s the same.

Speck has an anti yellowing clear case, I believe it’s the presidio clear. I use MagSafe 24/7 so I am limited to MagSafe options only.

Easier way if you have a 13 Pro or 14 Pro: Turn on ProRes mode in the video camera. It will indicate that it’s freeing up resources. Then it will stop and give you a button to free up even more resources. After that’s done (1-2 minutes) your system data should be down to zero. I just tried it and went from 20GB to zero.
