What’s certainly possible? Yeah that notification didn’t come up, yeah I am on it

My main questions are is

Does it show anywhere that it died at 12:43 coz I can’t see where it says that but it did die then

And why is there just no data from 00-05 because it was fully charged by 7 am?

Or has it started charging from 5am possibly i re altered it as I was half asleep, would that make sense that it’s perhaps startes charging from 5am?

So FaceTime video conferencing, and wireless charging are both relatively high heat-generators, so it’s certainly possible, but the reports I’ve seen seem to say a notification will pop-up stating ‘charging suspended due to heat’, and you would notice that while FaceTiming. Could just be that random iOS glitch (are you on 16?) I mentioned earlier.

As to why it hasn’t happened before, well a random iOS glitch could be one answer, and another might be as batteries age, they slowly develop more internal resistance and therefore might be start triggering the heat tipping points.

I don’t know, personally my phone runs very cool with lite apps and slow chargers.

Yes the phone did die at 12:43, but was on charge at about 12:50 and worked. Where does it show the charging bar?

When did you think that it was charging but shut off at which point coz it was fully charged by morning so it must have charged correctly

I meant the wireless charger might have been the issue since you have to align the phone. If the phones not aligned it can still sometimes charge but it's very inconsistent and can lose connection. Which would explain the werid charging graph

theory 1: that's when the phone died. Since the charging bars show back up around 50% the phone was probably charging while completely shut off since it died

Theory 2: wireless charging can generate extra heat, so if you didn't align the phone right the wireless charger was working extra hard trying to send power to the phone causing it to heat up and shut down. Then, eventually turning back on once it cooled. This is less likely since I think there would be a notification of some sort say the phone shut down due to heat

Possible the wireless charger causes what sorry?

well yeah when I went to bed at half 11 I put it on the pad and when I woke up at 12:43 I took it off the pad messages a few people went to the toilet and to the kitchen and when I was in the kitchen it died showing I must have not put it on properly so I placed it back on the pad and obviously successfully as my phone had charged by morning.

No no other times

It's possible it was the wireless charger. Since you have to align the phone just right to charge it may have been slightly off causing the issue. I doubt facetime had anything to do with it.

Has it happened any other times? I think the best guess is it's just a random iOS glitch

Also, no problem glad to help

I found it weird because, I woke up at 12:43 went to the toilet, as I was back it had died, I put it on to charge on my pad and then fell asleep til 5 am and it was charged then went to sleep again and 7 am it was fully charged. But it doesn’t show it charging at all from 12:43 even though that’s when I charged it.

Does it mean anything because I was on FaceTime at the time and fell asleep on FaceTime, if so I went on FaceTime at 11:30 and fell asleep and then woke up at 12:43 ( still on FaceTime) and then obviously it ended when I was back coz my phone had died. I didn’t FaceTime after it had died. Simply both fell asleep on FaceTime by accident. Does this affect anything perhaps or because it was a wireless pad?

Thank you for your help!

I bought the Sheath after a certain case reviewer recommended it a lot and spoke of it so highly, only to be massively disappointed when I actually got it in hand. I mean it’s fine, but it’s basically just a standard TPU case with a not so appealing texture to it IMO.

Not the first time that this reviewer has gotten me with their recommendations (Pitaka)

I just stick to Spigen now.
