Wife just did 11 to 13. Not a huge diff that’s noticeable to her… 14 isn’t a big leap over the 13 which is why we saved the cash on that.

Magsafe, U1, and fresh battery are the biggest things

> The lack of a back gesture is the number one annoyance for me as there are times you are not really sure how to go back one page or UI element. Every app does it slightly differently and it impacts one handed usefulness and accessibility.

Any well-programmed app follows Apple’s system guidelines and has a swipe gesture from the left screen edge to go back, or rather, a gesture that pushes the View back to the direction it animated in from.

Only advantage i saw was that the main screen is protected when it’s closed. So you’re less likely to have a scratch but then you have to deal with a crease from the get go.

Do you want a larger phone? Don’t get the mini.

Do you want a smaller phone? Get the mini.

Other than display size and battery capacity, they’re the same phone.

I have the 13 mini and I love love love it. But… if I could choose now I would likely go 13. I find the battery at times not enough and don’t want to worry about charging or thinking about charging. The mini form factor is great. Tough choice depending on usage

Yeah it died at 12:54am precisely coz that’s when the FaceTime ended

Thank you for this information by the way very interesting and helpful

Yeah thought you meant the phone restarts

It was fully charged by morning though which I don’t understand if it wasn’t charging properly

I think it was on standby most the night because it said on my screen time notifications still came through

Ah right so you reckon maybe I plugged in at 5?

Yeah so just enter my password for my phone and then once I’ve unlocked my phone the battery info starts recording again. I thought that was standby when ur phone just needs a password to get on, like usual every morning when I wake up grab my phone and put my password in and iPhones unlocked thought that was standby

Yeah mostly mean restart the graphs, the phone will wake and go to standby/locked screen when it decides it has enough juice, but won’t restart batt graphs until you login.

Back to the beginning, only 2 reasons I’ve seen where you plug-in but doesn’t charge is the heat problem and iOS16 bugs.

You must have some kind of hardware issue/lemon or some kind of software has gone buggy. I’ve literally had not had one of the issues you are mentioning.

But you say you seeing other people experience the same? In what way?

What apps specifically are buggy on your phone but work on your friend’s 12 Pro?

Also let us know if the update does help - this is just polar opposite of the experience I’ve had. Had it since day 1 and other than some of the specific short-term software issues that get fixed in the next iOS update this has probably been the best iPhone experience I’ve had so far.
