mate this is a subreddit for iphones, there’s nothing controversial, there’s no reason for me to be insulted. you’re saying i’m the one who started this, i didn’t. random guy replies to my joke, calls me a motherfucker, and says that i’d divorce someone if they ate an onion ring. the joke was terrible and barely made sense, but anyway. i was attacked first for no reason at all, this guy evidently just needed to vent some anger towards random people on the internet. not everyone knows that you can change your default internet browser.

No one’s even being particularly mean or anything and you turned it up to 11 and started calling people idiots. I’m guessing you’re a spoiled 14 year old who’s just trying to sound like a badass. If not, you act like you’re 14 and you should probably work on that.

I’ve been using XR for 4 years now, and I’m looking for an upgrade to either iphone 13 (normal version) or 14 pro. 14 is not different from 13 but a bit more expensive so I took that out of the equation. I mainly use my phone for watching shows, taking photos and recording my piano practicing clips, so that’s why I’m hesitating since the 14 pro has an upgrade on the cameras, I’m wondering if it’d be worthy of the extra $400 compared to the iphone 13 (price in my area)? I’d be looking to use this phone for a while and not get another upgrade so this is quite important, I can afford the extra bucks but I want it to be really worthy of the money I think. TIA 🙏

There's no way anyone inside Apple thinks they can top Google Search in the near future.

I just switched from android to apple. Part if the reason is that I could still use google apps, maps, calendar, keep, mail, and every use that as my primary password store. If that does happen I will probably switch back. Its ashame too

I wish i had your phone / luck / sleeping skills :) When tested now, it does indeed go off without issue. Thats always been the case though.

And this is even with a focus on (sleep and dnd both had alarm go off without issue).

Good idea on the vibration. Ive tried that but even then it doesnt even vibrate, if i look at the phone, it says the alarm is going off, but no noise or vibrations.

To add my response i gave to another commenter, when i test the alarm (say for 2 minutes from now) it does indeed go off without issue!)

I know they have a few now, but I can’t really tell you more than that as I’m not really a fan. I have had a ton of their cases over they years, they are pretty much all I use.

Ill give that another shot, but unfortunately the issue is indeed quite widespread :(

Not true, screen replacements don’t affect FaceID functionality. They did very briefly when the 13P was released but they quickly rolled back after it got major backlash

I always wanted to try the loopy case...they didn't have a lot of transparent cases back in the day.

I’ve also had issues with this. I have my own theories as to what might cause it in addition to yours. One is if a calendar reminder notification comes up at the same time as your alarm starts it will stop the alarm from making noise. Another is that I use a wireless charger that has my phone sit vertically and if I have it face at me my phone thinks I’m looking at it when I’m sleeping and will stop the alarm noise. Turning my phone away from me when I sleep seems to have helped. Another fix I found is to make sure that your alarm includes vibration, that way if the audio of the alarm doesn’t get you in time the vibration of the phone might.

I used to have a case ever since the“invention“ of the camera bump. But I wanted to be able to see the color of my phone and not hide it behind another generic black case. Now I’m Case free for about a month and so far it’s been wonderful!
