iPhone lenses have been getting larger over time, which means they can gather more light and produce better images, but the trade-off is that they can’t focus quite as close as smaller lenses can. However, recent Pro models can do macro shots — focusing extremely close to the subject — with the ultrawide lens.

I should analyze my battery, you are right. Although I have gone through those settings and location is not allowed on my phone. I'm trying to get it perfect as possible for me before I start using it. Thank you for mentioning that I have overlooked that so I'll charge it up again Wait 24 hours and review the battery usage. Thank you so much. Great answer I had forgotten to utilize. ✅

Have you tried to identify the app that drains the most battery from the battery usage? You will be able to distinguish between the system apps.

Try turning off the following: Privacy and Security>Location Services>System Services>Significant Locations

I have thousands of wallpapers I could use I'm just trying to get rid of the extra nonsense on my phone that I don't like or use. Why should we pay for backing up or storage for things that we don't ever use? It adds up. It seems to me if there's a screensaver that uses the least amount of battery and there's some special secret to it that should be what we use I don't care if it's the ugliest thing on earth or the prettiest thing on earth but if my battery is going to go from 100% to 70% without using the phone at all or from a call or text message all day & night something's wrong with the phone. And I have made sure to not allow fetching or allow location on any app yet because I'm trying to funnel and circumnavigate the best settings before I start using the phone. I have multiple phones with different carriers and I'm just now trying out the ProMax 14 and I'm finding that it really drains the battery without even using it at all from 100% it just goes down down down and I know it must be a setting so I've been playing with it for a month appx by not making calls, not watching vids etc. After charging my phone I set it on the shelf and at the end of 24-hour period it's really low on battery. I have a 10-year-old phone that holds 40% battery after not using it 10 years & the comparison is huge difference. That gives me an idea. I'm going to charge my 14 up 100% and turn it off for a week and see if it holds a charge. Thank you for your feedback and suggestion. I really appreciate it.

If you have anything from the 12 or 13 line it is not worth it. I jumped from 12 pro to 14 pro max (mostly cause I wanted a bigger phone) and it has been the most underwhelming experience. Don’t get me wrong, it is a fantastic phone, but so was the 12. The camera is disappointing to me. 3 out of 5 times the photo is too fake, plasticky and over processed

Missus seams to like it. She upgraded from the XR to 14 pro, so there was a noticeable improvement. Probably wouldn't recommend it if you have a 13, or even a 12 really, but I'm no apple expert. Personally can't stand them haha.
