i41CX. It mirrors the HP-41CX calculator, which is still the best calculator I have ever had.

When I was managing construction projects, it kept me from having to carry around another device.

Plus it uses RPN notation, and runs everything, synthetic programs and all, the original HP-41CVX would do. It runs on the iPad also, which is a big plus.

I back this up. Live photo affects the image quality when the light conditions are less than ideal, because it limits the shutter speed to minimum, when possible, which doesn't allow as much light to be captured by the sensor. You may notice that live photos are automatically turned off in night mode, and it's because the iPhone cannot keep the shutter speed low enough and just disables live photos in exchange for a longer exposure.

In ideal light conditions, the difference is negligible.

Why would they move backwards with the main (wide) lens? The best way to fix this would be adding autofocus to the ultrawide camera so the macro mode works for the non Pro iPhones too. I bet it’s going to happen in a couple more iterations.

The Pro models can take photos of objects that are extremely close, because they switch to a “macro mode” where they use the ultrawide camera, which has autofocus. The normal models don’t have an ultrawide with autofocus, so they can’t do this.

If you're OK with maybe around 2.7-3.7 years of iOS upgrades, the 11 is a decent phone. Just make sure the battery is in acceptable shape, or you'll want to replace it.

There are no guarantees but, historically speaking, apple has generally supported iPhones with iOS upgrades for around 6-7 years, sometimes with an additional 1-2 years of security updates.

The iPhone 11 was released in September 2019, or roughly 3.3 years ago. So, we can guess (and hope!) that the 11 will get roughly another 2.7-3.7 years of iOS upgrades, plus maybe another 1-2 years of security updates.

i’m currently on an locked iphone 12 that’s showing some age; it heats up frequently, dies quickly, and freezes/glitches under task.

i have to get a new plan regardless as i don’t want my guardians to have to cover by phone bill anymore, so i thought about going all in with a new plan and a new phone. thinking about upgrading to a 14 plus. bad call?
