The closer you want to focus, the further the elements have to be from the sensor.

Just tap on the lizard to adjust focus. The camera is focusing on the wrong thing you can make it focus on the right thing with a tap. This ain’t rocket science

I don't use it frequently, I only use it for music that's all, it is not the big deal either

“For new users, the Halide app is priced at $2.99 per month or $11.99 per year, or $49.99 as a one-time purchase.”
😂😂😂 no thanks!

A well-fitting case won’t allow dust in easily. And, if you clean your phone often enough, you won’t have to worry about it. Even just once a month, taking it out of the case and polishing with a cloth will work. For example, I use the nomad leather case and I never see dust or dirt under the case on the glass when I take it off.

Impossible unless you jailbreak your phone and then get mods for a totaly black front screen. This is a cool idea tho

Apple claims that the battery life of the 13 is a bit better, but I don't know how much you'll actually see. If you just want something that'll last 3 years, the 11 will likely last that long, but possibly no longer. The 13 should last longer and also has a brighter, higher-res display. If you can afford it, get the 13. However, the 11 would be a decent choice, too.
You can compare the two here: https://www.apple.com/iphone/compare/?modelList=iphone-11,iphone-13,iphone-14-pro
Side note: you probably don't care, but the 13 supports FaceID with mask; the 11 does not.

I'm aware. Simplywise is better.

You don’t need additional tempered glass on the back. Just a well-fitting case or a decal like Dbrand on the back.
Plus, with the frosted glass on the back of the pros, the scratches really don’t show unless you’re aggressive and going caseless.

It helps if you use the wide angle lens for close up photos

I don’t actually want it black because I like it, it was just to screw with a friend, I have a fairly colourful background normally

Have you tried the macro focus component in the Halide photo app?

I think it broke during a time I didn’t have a case on my phone, I can’t really remember as I think it’s been on there almost 2 years now. No, I don’t think the glass protector would interfere, if anything it makes it a bit more protected

Crouton is a great one. It lets you import recipes and makes them really easy to use. You can add ingredients from recipes to a list in Reminders, have multiple timers going in the app, and create meal plans. The pro version is a reasonable one time payment and you can create a household to share it with other people.
