No, the battery will have to be replaced though. Also some apps over the years have minimum requirements. Expect to get an easy 6 years of use if not longer.

Have apple run a diagnostic they can do so it remotely via chat or in person.

Yes when the battery ages. Replace the battery and you are good to go once again!
I’ve had my iPhone 11 for almost 3 years now, at 82% battery health and it’s still fast like new infact.

No, they don’t.
Many people keep using their iPhones for 3, 5, 7 years or more.

Yeah it’s not an 11 or later tho. It’s a 10. Although I am not a professional tech but I’ve done it on older iPhones. I’ll try to call them

No. From the description:
> For professional technicians only. All iPhones 11 forward will show non genuine screen message after changing display.
It’ll have the same issue. I’m pretty sure the only way to get faceid working properly again is to take to apple of an apple authorized repair shop

If I buy https://www.ebay.com/itm/275697254386?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=_uhzhw0WSK6&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=grdolheetna&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY and install, will it fix the face id? It’s just weird it let me set it up in settings.

It’s the OS that would cause it to slow down.

So it couldn’t have been replaced and then used?

I have heard about that but it seems like the original screen because it’s got some signs of use so it hasn’t been replaced. Could there be Any other possible reason? (I’m probably wrong it’s probably replaced you’re right)

I second the person who said take it to Apple. Only they can run a diagnostic in store. The only thing you can try is to backup your data and try to restore it on your computer.

Technically no but apps and stuff take more resources over time so it will seem like a slower device because stuff is optimized for the newest devices

Bring it to apple. We aren’t apple

The screen was probably replaced with a non-genuine part. They disable Face ID on those devices.

Turn this off in Settings - General - Airplay & Handoff and then go to Automatically AirPlay to TVs and turn it to Never. Hope this helps
