Maybe it can discern, car charger vs other usb charger, but it can’t discern car Bluetooth from other Bluetooth.

It’s a fuck up from Apple.. when re-downloading an offloaded app, and the latest version of the app demands a later firmware, it doesn’t download the latest compatible version nor does it ask to do so. It just “download” and then doesn’t install.

If you go to App Store, search for the app and redownload it from there, it will ask if you would like to download latest compatible version , yet, it flunk to install it..

The solution is.. Download those apps via your Bought History list instead.. it will ask to install latest compatible version.. and NOW it does download AND install latest comp version!

Safely clean out the charging port. Something is shorting pins. You may also inspect the port to see if there’s a visible short.

The fact that apple is so finicky with what cords can and can’t charge your phone is the reason I’ve switched over to wireless chargers

Yes you should as there might be some important security patches to update to. Otherwise your phone might be vulnerable to exploits. Also there is a updated look and features on iOS 16.

I get random errors when not using an Apple charger. Every update results in another Anker cord erroring out.

I literally said when I found it I went to AT&T and even called them and called Apple. And I didn't know the phone could do that "call mom" and Apple didn't tell me to try that. Clear cases like the Otterbox and even the Apple one are pretty protective. Yellowing is another story. I had a clear case on my 12 and it protected it from several drops

turn off the phone. dont use it and leave it under AC (or any dry air source) for at least 6hrs. Did it myself and it worked.

Passengers exists. Also if the driver is queuing up songs doesn’t that mean less time looking at the screen? Because the alternative to queuing is picking each song one after another. I would queue 5 or 6 songs and not look at the phone again.

ALSO if you connect it to cars bluetooth the queuing works. What about the charging cable makes it more dangerous?

OP, do NOT put the phone in rice. This is the worst bit of advice you can give when it comes to modern day phones. The starch that is found on rice can get into the phone and damage it further if it is wet. You want to use silica gel packets that are commonly found in things like beef jerky bags. You can even place it in a bag with a small container of damprid.

Ive had this happen, just cleaned the port with 91% isopropyl and those little flossers things. Fixed it for me
