It’s not necessarily about anything being perfect, but it’s coz there is so much choice and because I have a bunch of cases, it’s easier to let the temptation win when you have them at your reach.

I am in the same boat mate. Not just for iPhone cases but for anything and everything. I know it’s all in my mind and the only fix is to accept things as they are and try not to expect perfection in everything. It’s gonna be difficult for person with OCD like me too 😁

The bummer is they didn't implement a non-emergency messaging system in their implementation of it. That's the primary reason I pay for an Inreach for my remote 4x4 trips. Being able to text the rest of the group joining you the next day that our planned camp spot was taken and proving the actual coords of where we set up. Or letting people know we're okay/safe for the night/in need of minor assistance/are staying longer than originally planned etc.

I find the gap between "passively share your location" and "call a coast guard helicopter" to be a bit too big with apple's current implementation and I hope they add this after year 1, but I'm glad they're going this direction in general.

Yes:

AOSP is open source. Samsung’s specific flavour of Android including their drivers and UI skin is closed source.

Did I fault the subreddit? Why are you taking this personally?

It's different because Android is just more open, if you replace the camera you will not get some stupid warning that the part is unknown. Android is open-source, do you know what you're talking about?

Software issues can cause a whole load of "hardware warnings". This guy says he has done nothing to his phone, when a random update does this it is absolutely not a hardware problem. Especially when it just happens randomly, after an update.

But of course, because it's Apple, there's nothing you can do to investigate or repair the software issue yourself. That does mean that this subreddit could basically be replaced by a flowchart with, at the end, "contact Apple"
