Think again before changing ships. You may end up regretting your choice.
After enjoying the freedom Android offers, you will hate the closed and limited iOS.
I have an iPhone 13 Pro now, it's ok but I don't enjoy it. I miss Android... I'm currently planning to buy an S23.

What’s the battery impact? Seems like mind blowing features blow my battery life until a 16.x.x release.

Either way, that is an easy fix that I am just going to do proactively, I just usually kept the Apple cable at my desk so my phone can charge quicker, but I am going to move it next to my bed

That was a good idea. I took a look at it and I have honestly never paid attention to this, but it is very peculiar that the battery went to 0% about the time that I remember plugging it in and back up when I did the reboot
Edit: iOS 16.3.1 btw

.XX releases rarely feature mind blowing game changes features. It’s usually minor improvements, features delayed at launch and other house cleaning stuff.
Major X.0 releases and their features get teased at WWDC in June.
This has been known forever.

Sorry I should have been clearer, the bulge is in the silicon protective case, like as if got hot and warped. That would be crazy if I had a bulge in the actual aluminum frame, I wouldn’t feel comfortable turning it on at that point.

You still can't trivially delete the carrier/manufacturer advertising loaded on Android phones.
It's a matter of perspective: Google is an advertising company that uses Android to help sell ads and profit from licensing. Apple is a hardware/software company that sells some ads but doesn't try to monetize every aspect of your life. macOS vs. Windows is a similar story.
I used the Nexus phones from 1 through 5 and still have a "Motorola" for running a couple of Android only apps.

I’ll wait here while you slowly wait for GlobalStar to orbit more than their existing 25 satellites. Space X puts up about two GlobalStars per Falcon launch. 😆

The Apple one. The rest get super hot and don’t really charge faster anyway

With rare exceptions app subscriptions are not portable. Beyond that Apple has an Android app to help with migration.

You have no idea what’s going on behind the scenes 😂. More than one company can do the same thing buddy
GlobalStars current network is low speed, but they absolutely are gearing up to create a high speed network. This is good news, StarLink doesn’t need to be a monopoly.

No. They won’t. Starlink can do what GlobalStar can do. GlobalStar can’t do what Starlink can.

StarLink has the same service through t-mobile as apples emergency Sat feature.
They are competing. Apple absolutely will build out GlobalStar to compete with StarLink in more ways. Like it or not they are competitors.

I've had the Anker 622 for a while now. It's about the same size as the official apple magsafe pack but it has a stand and that's mainly why I use it. It's nice to be able to prop the phone up when I'm washing dishes or whatever. Bonus is it's charging as well. Not super big, will take the 13 and 14 pro max up about 58-65% maybe. Handy when you need it, stays on well, and half the price of others at the time.

I’ve never seen a bulge in that spot before. Is the screen still flat if you look at it from the side or is it protruding out?

No they aren’t. This satellite feature is extremely low bandwidth. Starlink is measured in hundreds of megabits. Both use satellites, that’s where the similarity ends.

They aren’t. But they will be eventually since apple threw a ton of money at them, Apples officially in the satellite business to complete with StarLink.

I’m not sure app subscriptions are transferable from Google play to AppStore. If they are tied to the app store on the individual OS, I don’t see how you could convert. However I am likely wrong.

If you think the $450 million Apple invested to use Globalstar's 25 satelite network will directly compete with the $80 billion invested to build Starlink 3300+ satelite network, I don't know what more to say to you.
At best, the low bitrate emergency messaging/location feature Apple's investment gave the Globalstar network a post-Starlink reason to exist.
Globalstar's market cap is under 2 billion dollars. Investors can thank Apple its still worth anything at all.
You're right about one thing though. Someone on this thread has no idea what they're talking about.
