Your link did work, but it was just the author’s take on the issue, when carefully done, it will still work. Agreed not the most efficient or the best thing to do but it should not be completely disregarded as an option in emergency.

I despised iphones and pretty much was one of the fanboys back then because of the toxicity of some sheeps and my last experience of Iphone X (though i never actually owned one just used them for like a week) And yeah I've changed a lot and gotten interested on them again (planning to buy the 15 though) and seeing again this kind of argument realizing that it is very much pointless like who cares man, as long as it can do something for you it's all good.

Okay, how about the fact that they didn't even use phones but instead used damp paper towel in a "simulator" meant to mimic a smartphone? That simulator was a box with holes in it.

How many absorbent motherboards and chipsets have you ever seen? Do you think a damp paper towel is a good stand in for these things?

This isn't a scientific study, it's a bare bones experiment using paper towel so they can dupe people into paying for their service. Did you even read this before you shared the link or did you just grab the first thing that seemed to agree with what you said?

I mean I don't even give a shit about this whole argument and tend to agree that rice probably doesn't work, but if you're going to say the science shows us that rice doesn't work, you have to back that up with better sources.

Huge battery drain (80% down in 3h). Never seen anything like that ever. Phone was quite warm. Rebooting didn’t make a difference. Kept using the phone in battery saving mode until I had access to a charger and now after charging things are back to normal.

I was trying to update my AW too right before I left the house this morning and had to leave at the verification step. I wonder if there was some process related to that that was hanging and caused the battery drain. Also, I was sitting in a bus in a sunny environment (south Vietnam) so screen brightness might have been dimed and could have played a role.

you obviously haven't been on iphone subs where they shit on android a lot lol. Look everyone is going to say things are better here or better there. Having used both, mostly recently the s21 ultra and now the 14PM. There are differences between the two of course, android does some things better in my opinion but others iphone does better. I switched because it was easier for me to send pics to my family and sharing things in general. I miss the customization at times from android but I think for me the sticking thing is that iphone always tries to say they are innovative and NEW at this and that, when the fact is its been done before and android has had it for years. I'm actually glad iphone is moving to doing the things that android has had for years to be honest, its about time. But at the end of the day it's a phone and it's a preference.
