I’ve also noticed slower animations on iOS, it was so much better with iOS 15… but it has improved with iOS 16.4 I think it’s a software issue, something related to the new Lock Screen feature customization or background apps

I’ve definitely noticed the slower animation speeds on iOS. I had a $200 Poco X3 android that had a 120Hz display and it felt and looked MUCH smoother than my iPhone 13 PM’s display. I’m almost tempted to just buy an S23U and use it as a secondary phone just for the smoothness

It’s a feature desperately missing on iPhones. I’m always mad when I just can’t bring up the camera by clicking the power button twice like on any android I’ve had my hand in yet.

a few things to try

1. try selecting all and then "mark as read"

2. try going into messages settings and disabling "filter unknown senders" then trying #1 again

3. restart the phone

4. notification settings -> messages -> disable badge app icon

The dichotomy of man is truly fascinating, cuz you then have someone like me, who has a custom ringtone and custom text tone that I unmute my phone for anywhere that’s not a customarily quiet setting.
