This! Switched from 11 Pro Max to 13 and the change is very noticeable. Even if I’m wearing a bike helmet, the 13 still recognises my face instantly. I can also use Face ID if my phone is sitting horizontally (watching Netflix) these are the things which were either lacking or not as good on the 11 Pro Max

Ah, ok, i guess i just use them differently. I always instantly unsubscribe out of everything I don’t want on my main emails and only keep the notifications on for the inboxes I want, so my ”trash” emails don’t show up on the number.

Moved from s10+ to 14PM and i can honestly say face id is best. Let me tell you what i felt while using s10+…When ever your hands are wet it wont work, if you didnt add fingerprint in all the angles( like when holding in the hand and when phone is on the table) it wont work i used to have 2 sets of fingerprints saved for a same finger. In 14PM from setup time to using face id, it is so swift. And it works everytime.

Because a lot of people don't clear every message, and some services like to organize email into categories where it's not critical to clear your inbox. And the phone just lumps that all into one big number as seen in the screenshot of this post.

I heard that 7 digits is the most that people can easily remember which is why phone numbers are that length.

Why is nobody talking about the fact that someone actually googled how many combinations there are for a 4 digit PIN

Reply to Can anyone try beta iOS now? by Kilobytez95
Yes, anyone can try a beta for which they’ve signed up for. Then you just select one of the beta channels for which you’ve registered under the automatic update settings.
The Public Beta is free. I tend to try stuff out around PB4 to get ahead of the curve so I can teach my parents any new features.
Developer Beta is in the process of weeding anyone out who isn’t actually in the developer program.
Customer Beta is invite only by whatever criteria Apple uses. Seems to be (ironically) employees, power users and people with a long history of engaging with Feedback.

If you use private relay, chances to see those are higher.

Looked over your shoulder. Humans can usually easily remember 5 digits when seeing someone type. That is why Apple now suggests 6 by default.

Yes this is what I’m thinking, some sort of brute force software was possibly used.

They definitely didn’t see me enter it, the guy befriended me then stole it from my pocket whilst hugging me. I hadn’t used the phone prior to this interaction. I will be more careful with entering my passcode in public though.

That video is very informative and quite scary! Thankfully they didn’t change my Apple ID or password. I’ll certainly be deleting the passwords from my keychain too after watching that. Thanks for posting.

So easy to do with 4 digit PINs. Mine’s a lot more and I can put it in so quickly, short of videoing me, nobody’s going to successfully observe me.

You're right! I just bit the bullet and opened the app and it led to a work website. Any idea how I get rid of it? 😬

Did you have fingerprint smudges over the numbers? That reduces it to 24 permutations from 9999. You're allowed ten guesses I think so the thief has a nearly 50% chance of getting your pin right.
