While it is doable. You might wanna just consider getting the cheapest plan you can find for your Xs. Saves a lot of hassle WRT passwords, OTPs and all that. I'm not sure if msgs and other such things will sync.

You can also consider getting those ziplock bags to store your 14 and a bumper case with air pockets on the sides to cushion the fall if you ever drop it. I used to rely on cheap cases until my friend got one of those armour cases and he dropped his phone down 3 flights of stairs and it didn't get a single scratch.

If I were you, I’d get a prepaid plan with SpeakOut Wireless and then forward calls from my main number to the prepaid number. That way, when you’re using the main phone, all you’d have to do is turn off call forwarding.

Rogers in Canada is not one of the carriers that do eSIM Quick Transfer, only Telus has that feature. With Rogers you have to get a new QR code every time you switch devices. Becoming a very big hassle, IMO.

edit: if you are just using a pSIM, you can swap it at your leisure.

You mean trading in? Yeah. When you trade in an iPhone you actually get something called…money. Try that with a Pixel or Samsung of the exact same year as an iPhone. On T-Mobile I believe the 2016 iPhone 7 was still worth $400. The 2016 Pixel…probably not $400 lol
