Buying from Apple unlocked is the way, even though TMO & VZW attached iphones purchased via Apple are unlocked also. Only ATT activated/attached iphones are locked. National retailers sell flex iphones, which lock to the carrier if the 1st SIM activated. Therefore, it's always best to buy from Apple sim free.

newer iPhones (A12 and after) don’t have the security exploits in ios 16 that jailbreak developers need in order for them to develop a jailbreak method. my 11 is jail broken on ios 14.4 but it can’t be jail broken on ios 16 as of yet to my knowledge. every iphone (A11 and before) can be jailbroken regardless of ios version but it’ll be untethered. the chips have been getting harder and harder to get into (code wise) to find a way around the security “checkpoints” apple has implemented.

add the fact that jailbreak devs get less and less incentive every year to sit down and code for hours, and the truth is the community has been dying a slow death. sad but the days of finding a tweak for every single thing you wanted customized is gone. no one knows if they’re ever be a jailbreak release for ios 17 when it does come out.

Its individual setup bro. not managed by corporate. it was working before update. hoping another minor update drops soon as it started with airdrop problem. that got fixed with a simple restart of both devices. but continuity is not.

Tried signing out of apple id and signing in again in both my devices bro. Now its kind of ok but not perfect as earlier. Give it a try.

Thank you, I appreciate the clarification. It doesn’t resolve the problem as I’m not using Bluetooth headphones and get the notification when my phone is plugged into the aux via lighting adapter.

I have tried logging out of my apple id in my iphone and mac. Now its working but not as smooth as before. Still stuck sometimes. Looks like issue needs to be addressed by apple with an update.
