You need to look up the technical specs for each model and make sure it works on the bands in your country. For example the 14 Pro Max has two models, A2650 and A2651. You can buy an unlocked phone directly from Apple and then go get a SIM card from a carrier. The carrier never needs to touch your phone. Just get a plan without a contract.

Thank you! Been trying to figure this out for awhile! Obviously the Bluetooth volume is going to be all the way up when in the car. But the stereo can have it down low to the point it’s super quiet, and I’ll still get this notification. I never listen to my headphones that high anyways, and never get this notification. But in the car it’s constant, and super annoying.

Please don’t do that, especially with older iPhones. The screen gasket degrades with time which results in the phone not being waterproof anymore. Use a damp or dry cloth, that works just fine.
