This comment needs to be higher! I just learned about the hard reset key combo yesterday. Worked for my sister's iphone, just press and hold power doesn't do anything on iphone.

Need a new display. It probably got damaged but not quite enough to have a visible effect, until you went down some stairs, or tapped on it too hard and “the last straw” broke the phones screen.

I think that technically they could release it for the older model but the hardware isn’t optimized to run the new os so it will result in a slow version that can’t utilize the new functions.

Not sure why, safari spies on us a lot less, has a better looking/non busy design, and is a lot faster to load webpages. Not to mention it’s built in to every Apple device.

I would say screen damage because of a drop or water or moisture. If you it doesn’t have any signs of physical damage and have insurance I would say you try to claim warranty

Yes. I am still frustrated at how extremely slow my old iPhone 4s was back in 2016 on iOS 9. This forced me to buy a new phone even though my 4s was in great physical condition. Looking back, I should have kept it on iOS 8 and used it for another year.

Depends on the carrier. If you have AT&T, their C-Band DOD spectrum only works on 14 series and newer. Just throwing it out there.

Surely in order to work, the iPhone screen would’ve needed some extra layers. If the leak was true, supply chain leaks or at the very least disassembly videos would show the existence of the digitiser

Also to clarify for anyone trying to reboot their iphone the combo is tap Vol+, then tap Vol-, then hold power until the apple logo comes up.
