Apollo - Best reddit app I've tried.

Calendars 5 - So good for the month view.

GraphNCalc83 - TI-83 calculator is so much better than the stock calculator.

Voice memos - Stock app great for recording music ideas.

1Writer - Good for editing plaintext or markdown files.

Microsoft To Do - My favorite todo app. Used to be Wunderlist until they were acquired by MS.

Lose It! - Great app for calorie counting or tracking macros.

It does get hot when it is charging and I am not sure what the issue is. It is a brand new iPhone with 100% battery health and I follow all the advice as to how to preserve battery health so I’m not sure why it gets so hot

> Double tap power button to quick access your camera

There’s already a button on the lock screen, a gesture from the lock screen, swipe down to control center, or use the app icon. You can also set up a backtap shortcut. That’s enough ways to access the camera. What would you do for Apple Pay if you removed it from the power button?

> Allow for alarms to be set on custom dates and times

That’s a common request.

> Have the keyboard remember commonly typed things like emails (it makes no sense that I have to retype my email every time

Set up text replacement in keyboard settings. I have mine set where @@ fills in my email address.

> Make Autofill actually autofill everything like it does on android

I’ve never used Android so don’t know what happens.

When you go to disable - or enable guided access for the first time an overlay shows. One of the options will be literally options on the bottom left.

Tap that and then you’ll see a new screen with a bunch of toggle switches on the bottom. One of them will be called Touch. Disable this and then touch is disabled.

I say this because I use it all the time for my kid but the options should keep the same for each guided access session. So you shouldn’t need to be going into options each time - only enabling and disabling as I mentioned in my previous.

I'm in the same boat, I switch between Android and iPhone all the time, it's annoying that I can't approve apps or anything from the android phone. There's probably a third party solution with a subscription charge...

I feel android is ahead in this regard, super easy to monitor a child's android phone from any other phone. Granular control is more straightforward as well.

I use the Shortcuts app for a few things:

Set my phone to dark mode when using Apple Music(coming from Spotify where it's dark only)

Generate a QR code so I can more easily share my home and office WiFi with people(something Android does natively and I wish iOS could do also).

Automatically turn off Do Not Disturb when my alarm goes off in the morning(I know there's a sleep feature, but I don't want to use Apple's Health app for this)

I'm new to the iPhone so I'm sure I'll find more useful things as time goes on.
