I have never had that problem with any iPhone or any Android phone and I always carry one of each - currently an iPhone 14 Pro and Microsoft Surface Duo 2. This included last year, however, a Galaxy S21. No offense, but unless you are just unlucky, this is usually related to the user rather than the device. If you are hard on connectors iPhones are no less susceptible than Android devices. Bear that in mind before jumping platforms for a connector.

I thought you might have meant that but it wasn’t directly specified so I guessed and have picked the wrong one.

You can still mess with some settings by swiping up on your camera before taking any picture or video, but there aren’t as many options as you have with editing afterwards.

I have the same phone bought in February and just went down to 99% last month. I tend to charge my phone to only around 80ish% and unplug. Try not to let phone die completely

You have misunderstood my post: what you are suggesting is editing an already existing JPEG file. Instead, I want to control the way that JPEG file is generated.

For example, I want to control the amount of sharpening that is applied to the raw data when the JPEG file is created. Smoothing the file after it has been generated is going to make things even worse!

Battery health is just an estimate on iPhones it’s not a definitive figure. As long as it functions as it should, try not to worry. Was it brand new and sealed when you bought it? It was it an open box? Could have perhaps had a third party battery fitted if that’s the case.

I’m pretty sure it’s illegal in the European Union, if your employer requires this they will need to provide the phone, laptop or tablet. Its also not allowed for employers to make you install an app on your personal phone for example.

Its even more not allowed to monitor network traffic, then you will be violating both employee rights and the GDPR.
