Yup. If I grade the iPhone and ios on a pass/fail scale, it clearly passes. Switching and learning a new phone and OS would be too much work for too little — if any — benefit.

Does all I need a phone to do. And I haven’t seen a small enough android phone that I like

And also. You said it was for broke people. I wouldn’t consider spending $1200+ on a phone to be broke. You’ll be talking to yourself from here on out.

Dude, I’m on iPhone but no. You can’t even move your Home Screen apps around with ease on here and the notification system and media player are trash. And Samsung makes iPhone screens. Like, let’s be real.

I didn’t want to buy another android for the time being. Always find myself switching off. Did about 4 years on android and wanted to switch back. Happy I did

As a long time iPhone user, I must point out that is unfortunately not true anymore, and now there are suspicions about Apple harvesting iPhone user data even though the privacy policy promises not to.

I happily use both, so no need to choose.

For many people it’s the ecosystem and reliability apple offers for many people android just isn’t an option and iPhone 14 is seen as the default choice. You also don’t get the same level of CPU performance and long term support that apple offers.

iPhone user here with a Pixel 6a as a backup/freebie phone.
I was looking for the T-Mobile eSIM App in Play Store, downloaded it, didn’t work at all. Then I discovered it was a fake app?! The Play Store has some pure junk on it.

i no longer wanted to hunt down phantom battery drain. while tasker is very powerful, shortcut can do 99% of the stuff i needed, so that solved most of my problem. and rest of the family is using iphone so helping them with random ios and icloud problem is easier.

Will last longer, hold value better, receive all updates for many years, always a pure iOS experience, great compatibility with all three US carriers + most global ones. Dual eSIMs work well together running at the same time.
If the battery goes bad, Apple will replace it officially for $69. No need to visit a third party repair shop.
Edited to add: I have a Pixel 6a and I like Android, but it’s not a daily driver OS for me. Also had LG Optimus, GS3, Nexus. The Pixel is very smooth and has some neat features.

Simple. Just works. I am over the customize everything days. Support and longevity. Been using apple since 2010 will not go back to other os. Plus we got everything around the house in their ecosystem.

Happy cake day.
I don’t think this is explainable to android users. Maybe I’m wrong. With Apple, the value stacks. I don’t believe, in a one on one, (on launch day specifically) that a flagship iPhone beats a flagship android. Maybe it does. But +2 years, I’d argue an iPhone beats it’s android counterpart. But the real value is that the more Apple tech you include, the more value you can derive from the whole. It’s expensive, but, as someone who is heavily invested, I don’t even know how I’d recreate an entire functioning ecosystem outside of Apple (that has the functional equivalency).

I used android from its inception until pixel 3. I hated the changes to the OS that Samsung and others did so I mostly only owned a Nexus or Pixel device.
My nexus devices ($500ish) were all generally fine. The three pixel (1, 2 and 3) devices ($1000ish), all paid in cash, all had severe hardware issues within two years.
Additionally, I tried 4 different android watches and they all performed like trash. They didn’t sync details like steps and the experience was clumsy and slow.
So I moved to Apple. Watch is far better and if I’m buying $1000+ phones they better last as long as I choose to own them. Plus Apple has either fixed or improved the reasons I liked android more such as global software defaults.
So why won’t I buy an equivalent android? I have and when you consider the full package, they are not as good of a product an iPhone. Everything has minor things you may not prefer, but all summed up, Apple is a better full package.

Had an iPhone since launch, apart from a 3 week period about 8 years ago when I tried android. Didn’t last a month, was so horrible to use after iOS.

iOS, Apple Watch and the majority of family and friends use it. Too invested in ecosystem. Going to be a long hauler, no interest in android. Tried it once it wasn’t for me.
