No, I used to work on Hudson street, and I drove up the Turnpike, parked at Liberty Science center parking lot then took the light rail to Hudson street. this was back in 2001 to 2002. I worked in the twin buildings next to the "new" Goldman Sachs building on the old Colgate site. I remember looking across the river at ground zero. crazy times !

Chengdu is one of the most unassuming restaurants in jersey city. Weird location off marin in nomans land north of 14th st but always delivers (figuratively and literally)

I expect to rarely shop there. I’m just mystified at how a project can drag on so long with no end in sight, especially without any concrete (pun intended) updates from Whole Foods, the developer, or the city.

It does mean that underground utilities (electric conduits, piping, etc) have been put in. Not a lot, but not nothing

Ask and you shall receive.
Still at least 6 months away, assuming everything goes smoothly from now on.

Seriously, what exactly is taking so long? Can the press get anyone from Whole Foods or the city to explain?

I used Sal Grasso for years -- can recommend without hesitation. he's not cheap, but he's good. Office right next to the PATH.

It has been dirt for at least a year with some rebar sticking out of the foundation (which is normal), and was like a month ago last I looked.
The waterproofing (plastic) and rebar is definitely new.

Photo is from Wednesday evening, but I just saw 2 guys laying out that rebar. If 2 lathers (rebar workers) is the regular crew then concrete won't be poured until next year. Could be that the weather and/or holiday has kept some of the workers home. But it's no longer just a plain dirt floor!

This is a massive engineering project turning it from a garage with ramps to actual floors… inside a building already built. Which means they need to keep the existing building properly supported. And they can’t use cranes to just move beams.
