Yes I am, and still believe that if money was no object, that would be a great idea. I see tons of people waiting in the Exchange Place and WTC stations for up to 20 minutes to literally spend four minutes on a train, meaning they could literally save nine minutes if there was just a walking tunnel to get between them. However, it would definitely cost an unrealistic amount of money and nobody would pay to walk the tunnel.

The best part of this idea is that it could revive HOB-WTC service on the weekend. I much prefer to go to WTC than 33rd Street as all the trains I could ever need are there.

The usual reason for coastal flooding is low atmospheric pressure. We might not even think of it but air has mass and it is usually weighing down on the oceans and keeping it compressed. The air when there is low pressure is less dense so there is less weight pushing down on the seas. This causes the previously compressed water to expand and that is why the sea level rises slightly. This is most notable during times of hurricanes as they are very large low pressure systems.

I rely on public transit to move about. Half the bus drivers in my experience shouldn't be behind the wheels. Adding guns to the mix would be a disaster.

Shout out to the bus drivers of the 81x line most of ya are great!

TNR doesn't work. We keep seeing these efforts pushed, but they are never broad enough, never well funded enough. Cat populations keep exploding. These ferals aren't pets. The ones that can't be adopted need to be put down. Sorry but it's the truth, unless someone is willing to set up a dedicated piece of land just to rehome the cats in.

Nice, that should help. Putting it in a central area where it can capture lots of air will be beneficial too. I leave mine running 24/7, it has an auto mode where it'll pick up speed when it needs to, otherwise it's whisper quiet. Sometimes I'll put it on full speed manually if I'm going out somewhere. Dust still accumulates but at a slower pace. If yours comes with a carborn filter, it's good to clean that about once a month too

From what I've seen the residents from the 1900s were mostly some of the poorest immigrants from Ireland, Italy and Poland who couldn't afford to leave after getting through Ellis Island. Most of the waterfront was docks and industrial, pretty much everything is an improvement. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/82197.Five_Finger_Discount is a good read btw

Great. That gives me some comfort. I have bought the Levoit 600S. I am hoping it will cover the entire 840 sq ft apartment without too much relocation from living to bedroom. Mind sharing how often do you run it? I basically have just the dust problem and it accumulates over 2-3 days time (I see it settled on surfaces). So, I am thinking I can run it morning / evening for 1-2 hours and that should be sufficient?
