They legitimately think the amy circle jerk on this sub contributes anything other than spamming and annoying every one on this sub

Reply to Thrift shops by ScallionImportant288
You’re looking for a vintage shop not a thrift shop. Thrift is something like goodwill/Salvation Army where you find your own gems. No one will tell you the good thrift shops because any spot in the tristate area ends up picked over by people reselling at a higher price in vintage shops. Has totally ruined the fun of thrift shopping imo.

That’s a vintage shop not a thrift shop but it sounds like OP means vintage if they are expecting a curated selection.

I think some political group (Republicans, or Solomonites, if the Solomonites are actually separate from the Republicans) is just spamming the board with anti-DeGise stuff, then mass downvoting anyone who dares to stand up to them, for the sake of politics.

Just spotted 2 more PSOA managed clothing donation boxes in ShopRite parking lot. North east end. Lookout for boxes painted in black with blue ink writing

I'm sure it's fabulous. But based on the OP's criteria downtown is a better fit, IMHO.

You’re writing off an entire neighborhood that has a lot to offer — it’s culturally rich and a hub for art and history. Some people value that.

She’s definitely an asshole who should have stopped but she didn’t cause the accident I don’t know what she has to do with this.

but you do know, the sign above says that platform has trains going to newark on the wtc-nwk line. the other platform just has wtc-hob trains

Now make them put signs at the street level of 14th St so I know whether the downtown side is closed or not before I pointlessly walk down the wrong stairs…

I think the person you’re replying to still has a point. What if someone isn’t getting off at Exchange and wants to take one train and not the other? They still don’t know until they walk down.

Reply to Did your heating fail to keep your temp up last weekend when it was below 10 deg? by Blecher_onthe_Hudson
Depends what kind of landlord you’ve been. If it’s the first issue with heat and you’ve communicated you’re working on it, fine. No problem.
If you’re like my landlord, and too cheap to call a proper plumber when we’ve already complained numerous times about temps dropping below 60 just this fall, I’m not going to be understanding.

How does living in downtown Jersey City prevent one from "embracing living in and giving back to a diverse community"?
I'm glad you've made a great decision for yourself.

I would pop in and have a smashing bowl of ramen at Miso Ramen for lunch. Always a nice treat. It is technically full sit down but it really is super casual. For just single diners they have this long counter so you aren't sitting at a table.

Sapthigiri also, always good (service downhill since it moved). Mithaas is my second favourite.
