The one bad thing about Reddit is the anonymity frees people to spout their ignorance (in this case science) without any true fear of embarrassment. To a scientist, the comparisons you make of covid vaccines to a variety of unrelated therapeutics is so idiotic it makes one want to cry in despair over the failures of teaching STEM in our educational system.

Hi, I lived in one of the new apartments off Monitor and Maple for 3+ years. Right next to Liberty State Park stop. Just moved out of state though. Area has been built up a lot even in the short time I was there. Very safe. There is very little to do though and not a lot of food options. Groceries are limited and you will have to do bodegas or Amazon Fresh delivery or drive to Bayonne to Costco/Lidl weekly. Rent went up a lot in lux bldgs and I don’t think it’s worth what they’re trying to charge now to be honest, but it is what it is. Same company owns Solaris Lofts and Hazel, and is scooping stuff up before Sci Tech City becomes a real thing. It still feels like it is 5 years away and there will be a lot of construction on every street for a while. Pinwheel and Nurish (new to area) are run by a bunch of nice guys, stop in both and say hi.

Yes, covid vaccines are safe and effective. Just like thalidomide, Aduhelm, and Vioxx. Don't forget OxyContin is not addictive and pain is the fifth vital sign. And remember to eat plenty of processed grains like in the base of the USDA food pyramid!

Occasionally there is something at Acme that ShopRite or Target don't have, that is certainly true. I find a good way to find that odd item (and/or comparison shop) is on Instacart. You can search for your item and see who carries it at what price. Of course everyone is going to carry some things (Rice Krispies, Colgate, etc.) and you can just compare prices), but for hard-to-find things it's a real time saver. Interestingly, I was recently shopping for a very specific jelly and the only store in the area carrying it was Key Food!

Overall that’s probably right but Depends one what you’re looking for. I’ve never food shopped at Target but we bounce between BJs, ShopRite, 99 Ranch and Acme. Each has things they’re best at, some more than others. But paying a little more at Acme to avoid the circus is worth it to many.

The reason your statement is downvoted is that it is factually false. As in not true, not supported by any objective evidence, just ghoulish right wing wishful thinking. About 5 Americans under the age of 25 die every day from undiagnosed heart conditions, and this number was from BEFORE covid and covid vaccines. As for football collisions, young people die all the time in/due to football collisions (at an average rate of 12 per year!): https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23477766/
