No, it can use a $240/mo Equinox to actually reflect the people who live there.

Correct. The fact that there isn't a single Equinox in DTJC is a fucking joke.

Can also just stay on 139 and then take that to the turnpike and then ride that up to 3.

Reply to comment by WhichSea15 in Recommendations for a trusted female PCP accepting new patients? (Bonus if they are familiar with chronic illness/pain or womens health) by bostonforever22
My understanding is that if it's something that can wait, like a routine checkup, yeah, you're going to wait a while...weeks or longer. But if you're actually sick, they will try to fit you in as soon as possible.
On my insurance basic PCP appointments are covered 100%, so I can't comment on being charged for telehealth.
I've also never felt fat shamed. (I'm fat.) I've always been asked if they can weigh me, and if it's not related to my health issue, it doesn't come up.
Interesting how people can have such different experiences at the same practice. I hope you've found a place that works better for you.

Reply to comment by Brudesandwich in Gov. Murphy proposes ending NJ's cap on liquor licenses. by Brudesandwich
Also, he's proposed relaxing the license cap over time, which will stop current ones from becoming worthless. You can imagine that if anyone paid a million for one today and tomorrow they said "lol actually anyone can sell booze", it'd immediately be worthless and they'd be out the full amount.
But its value is essentially in government-mandated lack of competition, driving up prices for all of us, and if competition is allowed to ramp up slowly then they'll still capture benefits of having the license, slowly decreasing each year. It'll be worth less than they anticipated, but not necessarily by a ton (if it were phased out over, say, 30 years). The tax credit could hopefully make up the difference relatively cheaply.
That said, yeah it's pretty terrible and causing a great deal more loss for the whole state to maintain this system than it would cause to the restaurateurs or whoever to tear it down. I'm for moving fast, breaking things, and maybe offering partial compensation to the current cartel beneficiaries.

JCPenny’s at the mall. Make an appointment with Abdel. You might need to call for the appointment because the online system removed him for some reason. He’s $25 and good.

This is exactly why we need another big gym in DTJC. I was there this evening, absolutely insane. Just going to shameless plug this.

Downtown could use a cheap P-Fits aka Planet Fitness. Can’t beat $10/month.

Jersey city has the problem that there has been such a population boom in the downtown area in the last idk 10 years but amenities have not really kept up. Like there isn’t enough gyms of the base caliber available to service all the new residents. New Building have decent gyms, but it doesn’t compare to having a full gym. And for the price you pay to live in downtown, it just doesn’t feel like good value.

I’ve been following this for years and there were one or two state reps/senators who tried to introduce the bill then it dies even before the vote. Existing liquor licensee lobby is strong af in NJ. The fact that governor is bringing this to attention I am cautiously optimistic. NJ needs low fee wine and beer license just like NYC to help small mom and pop restaurants survive.

$170 a month now, month to month. Lol what. It’s crazy. And I figured if they were open 5a-11p, it would be great. It closes so early. Idk…it’s lame. But damn is it a good gym.

I know :( Luckily after my first week I will only have to stop by the office once or twice a week. Regardless, my job will have me on the road quite a bit so I need to acclimate as best as possible. Thank you for your suggestion!

I would have guessed incorporating traffic it would guide OP basically this way.
I think it would be quite a bit faster and easier. Especially during rush hour.

Just get rid of licenses and make it like selling soft drinks.
The whole concept is stupid. Kids have no problem finding someone who will sell to underage. So that argument is bullshit. They even know which clubs will turn a blind eye to the most basic of fake id’s. It’s been that way for generations and isn’t going to change.

Absolutely. And also, when I was there, Henni was teaching, not Frank, and she just wasn’t that great. It feels like a good place to learn fundamentals if you can swing the cash, but then getting studio time elsewhere just to have the ability to practice for more than an hour a week is the way to go.

Yes but this has been true for like 4 years. In fact they decreased the number of free memberships you get per apartment in the last 2 years.

Yeah, I think too many people are truly unaware (ignorant?) about their overall energy usage. I hear horror stories of ~500 dollar bills and I can't wrap my mind around it. These friends I mentioned earlier had a bill of over 400 IN THE FALL before they decided to enroll in the EPP program. During the same month, our bill was ~70 for just about 20% less space. It just doesnt make sense to me.
