There were a few people who parked in the garage who were too cheap to pay for the chargers so they used the 110v wall charger plugged into an outlet by a parking spot. Effectively stealing electricity.

If they still have open spots, check out Orale (either location). They do a really good job on NYE (have been 2 years previously). I think it was like $125pp for all you can drink + full dinner.

Dental associates of Jersey City. Dr Hana is awesome and the lady at reception is a saint. I got burned at True Dental when they said they “work with my insurance”, which just meant they were put of network and sucked up most of my deductible. Dr Hana’s office was up front and even got estimates from insurance companies for my filings to get an accurate cost

Thanks! Hmm. Since you asked, maybe some Martha Wells? I'm not caught up on Murderbot. Great series, by the way.

I've taken the 119 to PA a bunch, it stops for a minute at JSQ to pick up people, then continues along the route, so no need to get off

How can you access Rosetta Stone and Udemy? I tried searching on the library website but couldn’t figure it out.
PS: I use my JC library card on Libby and it’s been wonderful!

Well the subsidies lower the cost for at least the first few vehicles. But that doesn't necessarily make it affordable.

The bigger problem right now is the infrastructure and restructuring of how operations work.
i.e. lots of districts use buses during the day for schools, then in the evening for other things like sports, and even overnight for senior citizen activities. It's pointless to have separate vehicles for all of these tasks, especially when some school buses now are handicapped accessible. One vehicle, and just have different drivers since obviously you can't have someone drive 18hrs a day. It makes sense, it saves money. Some towns even use school buses for moving their employees between job sites. No point having a fleet of vans just for that task. Lots of these trips are quick. Having rarely used vehicles is a waste of money.
Same reasons towns love those garbage trucks that double as snow plows. One vehicle, multiple tasks. They're nice and heavy so they are good in big storms too.
But for an electric bus, you kinda need 2 vehicles for stuff like this. They can't be quickly gassed up. They need to sit and charge overnight. And charging facilities. And staff that are trained to service/inspect them. And until you do a complete fleet replacement, you need staff that can still service ICE vehicles. That's more duplication. You've also need supply chain for both.
This is a key reason why PA was keen on a big order of cars and replacing the whole fleet. Rather than do various orders/models. It saves them money long term having one model, one set of training for employees, you can use parts between them, swap them out for each other, etc. etc.
I'd predict you'll see more adoption in really rural places that provide minimal services before suburbs. The ones that own a dozen or less buses, only use them for school, and nothing more because the government provides no other services. Even rural distances are within range, and it's a perfect match.
But in urban/suburban areas, school buses are kind of abused as multi-purpose township vehicles that just so happen to also take kids to school.

"free" that costs 3 to 4 times could end up costing even more as unexpected problems arise.

Right like let’s just postpone the bottleneck to Marin. That will fix it bc there isn’t one there, or at the entrance to the tunnel nope no bottle neck there. This sounds like a great fix. Just push the bottleneck back 5 min for 10.7 BILLION.

I am the biggest fan of the library. A few of my favorites features:
-
Phone calls and emails when my books come in, such a kind and generous thing to do.
-
All the Children’s Activities. Miss Barbara and crew at the Main Branch are absolute gems.
-
LIBBY! I don’t feel like you guys hype Libby enough. Hoopla is cool and all for audiobooks, but I find their selection very limited. Your Libby selection is much larger (and compatible with the kindle so I get to check out eBooks and read them on my Kindle, it’s great!).

That would make sense, but it doesn't happen. When they catch them it's more or less luck in spotting the obscured plate, and the reflective paint would never be seen by the naked eye of a cop.

I would expect that some sort of alarm gets triggered when a car goes through and a license plate does not get scanned. Should be enough time for police to look at the photo of the car whose license plate didn’t get properly read, and the car can get pulled over by police when they come out the other side of the tunnel. Though I don’t know how the technology works.

Following. We using do Luna’s because they have live music and always have a special where you get an app, entre, dessert, and a glass of champagne for like $60 or something. But I want to do something different this year, so I’m also wondering what other restaurants do something special
