Why do I get so many NH ads on local stations? It’s a Boston station (usually channel 5 or 7), I’m in Norfolk county, why am I getting NH ads down here??? I’m much closer to Rhode Island, why have I never seen a single RI ad?

I’ve even seen more NH ads than MA ads…

Do these campaigns realize their money is being wasted on people who can’t even vote for them?

NH has one network television station. Southern NH is considered part of the Boston media market, so you'll get NH ads on Boston stations.

As for why you don't get RI ads, it's because the Providence media market (which includes Fall River and New Bedford) is distinct. They have their own stations of all the networks, and RI ads focus on that market.

What I don't understand is why I get Maggie Hassan ads on CNN. Nowadays I'm sure they can target your cable ads down to the street if they wanted.

Boston is the major media market for southern NH and Maine.

This is also why you see Red Lobster ads and there are no Red Lobsters around here.

The last one to survive was in Newington NH, but it has been gone for over 10 years. The closest one to NH/ME/Eastern MA is down in Western CT. Folks around here know that crayfish isn't lobster and they can't survive in New England.
