Social media (including Reddit) is a privilege, not a right

I am a guest here. We all are. We do not own the website. It's a lot like being a guest at someone's home. You follow the rules and if you cannot, you leave (or are removed).

> [ Removed by Reddit ] > This post was removed by Reddit. > Reddit administrators occasionally remove posts that violate Reddit's User Agreement and Content Policy .

When I see this (example, above) in any of my Subreddit that I volunteer to help manage, I see this was a "red flag" and it tells me you were doing something you shouldn't have. And as a guest, you should have been following the rules. But also as a guest, I too should uphold the rules presented.

So while the admin may not have chosen to ban you, I will. Because my Subreddit is a small room, that the owner of the house has let me use. I don't want that space associated with bad people with bad manners, who are not respecting the rules of the house.

So while I may not know exactly what you posted or did, I do not need to know. All I need to know is someone higher up was displeased with how things were going, and that's good enough for me.

I digress. We are all guests here. It's a privilege, not a right, to be here.

This post got me the most. I got a comment block because I suggested a greasy breakfast as a hangover cure. Admin removed and banned. I pmed, and found from him that he had never heard of it, and thought I was trolling, even though I wasn't. You seem too quick to shoot from the hip, and more of a liability than an asset. I can quote other stuff if you would like. But this made me nervous.

I've heard a rumor that the key is to say that you're getting intermittent blinking of your lights whenever it's windy. If that's happening, it could mean that branches are contacting with the lines and causing shorts - which is a dangerous situation. So they'll def trim for that.

As for who's responsible for which parts, I've been told that NG is responsible for anything between the poles. But the last line from the pole to your house (even before it hits the meter) is actually homeowner's responsibility.

The simplest thing to start is to walk around to your windows when it is cold, and just feel for drafts. Roll up a towel, or use something like grey caulk weather cord (something cheap from any hardware store) to block drafts. For doors, there are a variety if fixes, with a rolled up towel a quick fix for drafts under the doors.

Nope, not even then. Many insurance companies seem to right off any responsibility if you lease solar panels. That said, even if installed correctly, should you experience normal wear or weather-related damage, they seem to still stiff the consumer if you happen to be leasing panels. The reasoning is that it's not your property that is associated, so they expect the company you are leasing to handle it. But many of those leased companies have a clause waving responsibility. Some people have tried fighting such things, but you're talking about lots of legal costs and time in the process.

They’ve trimmed a tree on my property because it was too close to power lines, so… yes, they can do that. Although they trimmed near the lines on the street, not the one connecting to my house.

I’m not sure if you can explicitly request it, and I’m also not sure if you can stop them from doing it if it’s endangering public infrastructure. They didn’t ask me before they did it, just informed me as they were getting started.

In MassHealth’s defense, they didn’t know the date themselves until a couple weeks ago when the Feds finally announced that the continuous eligibility from COVID would end April 1. States have had no idea when the feds were going to change this guidance, originally people thought it might happen a year ago but it kept getting pushed back with no clear timeline. My understanding is that now that they do have a date they are going to be communicating it and have hired people to go door to door in addition to the noticing they will be sending.
