At least you got called within your own county! I live in one county and got called by a different county. I sent the jury duty slip back saying I wouldn't be attending because I live outside of the county and gave my address.

In the Southampton / Easthampton area, we hardly received anything. But I did shovel it because the slush we did have would likely freeze tonight.

It is the type of stuff that looks like black ice, only slush because at first glance it does not look like there is anything out there. But I lifted more than a few shovels full, from the nearly "see-through" slush, and I am glad I did.

You can appeal for a closer location if you can demonstrate a transportation hardship - like no access to a car and public transit won't get you there by the appointed time.

Holy crap - I got a ductless split in 2019 installed for 13k - 1600 SF house in Salem - two recessed mistubishi units in upstairs bedrooms and a ducted first floor - single heat pump 3 zones - look up recessed ceiling mounted units - wife also didn’t like the look of the head units sticking out and the recessed units did the trick

You are eligible for anything in your county. You're in Middlesex county, so it can be any court within Middlesex county.

Woburn and Lowell are both in Middlesex County. This is why you're being called there, the main court for Middlesex county is in Lowell.

Yes, it would be wise to intend to appear for jury duty.

Your jury duty will likely get called off the day before anyway. If it is your district, just take the date.

Well said! I'm glad someone put the truth out here. The "Fitchburg is a dump" posts out here get tiresome.

I grew up in Lunenburg and lived in Fitchburg for a while. I've lived in Ashburnham for the last 25 years. I shop in Fitchburg every week and never have problems.

Fitchburg was quite a place in the 60s and 70s when the factories were running and it certainly went downhill when they closed but just like all other New England cities it has bad sections.

Roads are crappy all over north central Mass, not just Fitchburg.

Way too much and sounds oversized if you have even a little insulation.

I got my 1300 sq ft 2 level home (3 bed 1 bath) done in Nov for $17,000 (before the rebate). 30k btu outdoor unit, 3 indoor heads (1 large for the entire downstairs open floor plan, and one in each of the 2 main bedrooms). LGRed system. Likely should have a 4th for my small office ‘bedroom’ and maybe have gone for the 36000 btu, but still all is working extremely well. Only quote I got even close to that was going ducted heat pumps (we have no existing ductwork) and even that was only $30,000
