A lawyer who is knowledgeable/experienced in the field and not intimidated doesn't necessarily mean they are shark, nor does it mean you need one. Facts, evidence, and ways to support your claims and the others behaviors can go a long way with a judge and make the other so called "Shark" lawyer look like an idiot. Mine had the calm and intelligent shark approach, only attacking when provoked and necessary for the point to be made, but no slandering or throwing nasty accusations into the mix. Plus, the only thing worse than having two nasty spouses going after each other is having two nasty and toxic lawyers doing the same, but at your expense.

Agreed that it's already nearly effectively decrim by itself, and that it ought to be officially legalized for possession. Beyond that, I'm on the fence. Worried about Joe asshole coming off the plane and eating a whole 8th and winding up either in the Charles or the ER, and triggering a backlash. Like maybe for retail sales there needs to be a waiting period and/or a little presentation you need to sit through and answer a quiz about.

Call them.

I hate phone calls. I had issues last year with MassHealth (login/profile/other stuff), couldn’t resolve it online. My boyfriend told me he always just calls and it doesn’t take long and they get everything sorted. I finally called and got everything sorted and enrolled in a plan in less than 15 minutes.

They will be able to tell you the status of the application and everything. If you need documentation for approval or anything they’ll be able to tell you.

Good luck!

Most of the mountains you’re thinking of have leases from the National Forest Service. These leases allow them to block access to the ski area when it’s operating in the winter because they are doing things like grooming and making snow which are dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing. They can also stop you from skiing down their trails, even if you hiked in on public land, because if you get injured, you’ll still use ski patrol resources. You’re also using man-made snow and grooming. In practice very few of them actually enforce this, but the possibility is there if people abuse the access.
