Plenty of good solutions available. The bridges are needed. We rebuild them better than the old ones. Ideally it would be done with a steel box girder design instead or a truss because its cheaper. All the pie in the sky parts should be forgotten about. Pay for it with tolls to be placed charging people 2 bucks a day each way. Done, paid for and everyone is happy.

The people I actually feel for are the ones that can only use 44/3/195/495 within 30 miles of the Cape. Most don't have great transit either, aren't on the cape, and not going to the cape. They have to deal with an extra 30+ minutes of traffic to live a middle/lower class life every summer while the cape continues to be composed of beaches, money, wasps, and political power.

Except Duxbury and Marshfield. Just enough money for they to get uppity about it and think they're better than everyone else and enough money to forget what normal is, respectively.

If those bridges came down and the only access was by boat or train the cape could be like the vineyard lite while maintaining the same flow of people and everyone in the lower half of Plymouth county would be more than happy to forget about it.

While I agree that the headline is certainly attention grabbing - I do not care for the reasons about distracted driving. You can be drunk, high, texting, speeding, jacking off, doesn’t matter. The result, a dead pedestrian, is still the same. We should be punishing every single distracted driver the same way.

A more traditional memorial would have been a far better option for the historic Boston Common

Better suited for a modern art display, somewhere else….where interpretation is much more appreciated

Why knowingly open yourself up to this attention.. ..they had to have known what is looked like….yet the emperor has no clothes….and no one wanted to be the one to criticize the artist for fear of being labeled 😱

Sad commentary on several levels

Thank you for the advice, I fully agree with you. I want to do this with a mediator. Unfortunately, I cannot control my stbx. They seem to be hell bent on making this as hard as possible. Our children deserve better. I can only hope they come to their senses and realize that it doesn’t need to be this way. We are in no position to fund a divorce that costs tens of thousands! The focus should be on the children and making this transition as easy and comfortable for them as possible.

I remember seeing the concept for it before they built it and I thought it looked strange, but I understood the message and the meaning.

I have seen it a few times in person, and sure from the right angle it’s fine, but there are so many angles to see this gigantic statue that make it look silly or inappropriate.

My biggest complaint is the money spent on something to honor such amazing people feels pretty wasted, especially in a city that could have better used that to help underprivileged people.
