Didn’t like it at all and saw it in person. The message was completely lost. And the fact that it was $10MM makes me like it even less.

It’s not your city. DEP changed requirements for mattresses. Every city is scrambling to try to find and figure out what to do. MassDEP just dropped the ban and forced municipalities to try and figure it out.

I wish I could recommend anything other than fighter type training places… and really I don’t know if those places I would suggest are still around because I got hurt and stopped attending. I used to like the Boston Athletic Club but I think they’re gone. I also liked a place in Charlestown that taught specifically Krav Maga but they didn’t really have a name and I think they’re gone too… there’s a few boxing gyms in the area but nothing that does outdoor training. I’m sure someone knows of places around though.

They look cheap, as expected with WPA projects. The nicest thing about them are the lampposts which, incidently you can best see while sitting in traffic.

Sorry, you’re totally right; blame my dumb post-work brain. Was more focused on OP’s desire to not pay for the pickup & got caught up in my experience moving otherwise cumbersome & difficult to dispose of waste.

Uh...I think not. I think Brockton drivers are so used to people jaywalking their minds can not comprehend a pedestrian on a crosswalk so it does not register with them. Then again, most Brockton drivers see a crosswalk at an intersection as the spot to stop with their front seat between the two lines.

Just in time for our housing crisis.
We spent years pushing our workforce off cape, only to let the best means to get on Cape crumble. I get the feeling most of the old population is perfectly fine in becoming the next Nantucket.

If your homeowner insurance covers it, then yes, the public is paying for that drywall to be removed and disposed of.
That's all public services really are, insurance but through the government.

The Chicopee river takes them for free. Odd thing is, drop off is between 9PM and 5AM. No need to call ahead. /s

Is it? Seems naturally occurring to me, and only dangerous to people who enter your home. In other words, not a public benefit. But in the end, it's all where we, as society, decide to draw the line.

Why recommend something with equal cost but significantly more labor?

Cape Flyer. Never taken it but I heard there's a bar on board. They should have one on all trains. Fantastic substitute for drunk driving.
Edit: website confirms beer, wine and cocktails for sale on board.

Ironically you're probably more safe as a pedestrian in Brockton given that the pedestrians there are more likely to just randomly walk into the middle of the road with no regard for traffic or the placement of crosswalks. I feel more nervous as a driver in Brockton assuming that someone is going to just suddenly decide "I need to be on that side of the road now."

Black mold is a danger to the environment. The public should have to pay to get that removed from my private property. No?

Chicopee is weird, I lived there for 3 years and while everything about my experience there was pretty solid something about the town always just felt a little off. That city also has some of the most poorly planned intersections ever, my old house was 1.8 miles from the pike exit and it took 10-15 minutes every time because of endless timed lights with no sensors.

A toll would be a nightmare since so many of the working class / blue collar jobs on cape are held by off cape residents because of the high CoL

So then they get to decide whether its worth it and then their wages magically go up when the supply of labor tightens. I can see why nothing ever gets fixed around this state. Too many people see every last negative possibility and then nothing happens. Nothing except KB warriors downvoting actual solutions to problems....DV away.
