The cape flyer runs Friday, sat and Sun from Hyannis to Boston for 3 months of the year. only 2x per day. Itās basically useless unless you live in Boston and want to pay $60 for a round trip to Hyannis. The schedule leaves from Boston at 7am and then the train leaves from Hyannis at 8pm. There is no conceivable way anybody would use it coming FROM the cape, unless you want to arrive in Boston at 9pm and then catch a 7am train the next day. Itās basically useless

If others were interested in checking these places out, it looks like Tanam has recently closed and Sekali is currently only doing pop-up locations.

They use it for trash (seriously, they fill the train cars with rubbish) It aparently ācanāt support a commuter railā so it needs to be overhauled. Thereās no reason that we shouldnāt have a regular commuter rail form Boston to Hyannis. The infrastructure is there. It just is old as fuck, and they donāt want to maintain or modernize

In most cities and towns in Mass you already would have been paying for trash removal/recycling. What am I missing here?

Someone mentioned a lot of employees from corporate going remote, so im wonder if itās full blown downsizing, or restructuring to drastically reduce costs by removing rent for an office building

Reply to Mass health question by [deleted]
Mass Health is not kicking anyone off right now because MA is still in a state of emergency because of COVID. So if that gets extended past 3/1/23 then you wonāt get kicked off after that date either. The way things have been going with the government they seem to keep delaying and delaying or extending and extending. So I have paperwork with masshealth I havenāt passed in but yet here I am and still have masshealth no problem. They legally canāt kick anyone off even if theyāre income is too high or they donāt actually qualify for masshealth anymore, which it sounds like you probably donāt because you are married now and with your husbandās income you wouldnāt and with his insurance you wouldnāt. But if you voluntarily cancel your masshealth you cannot sign up again based on your current income because you would not quality anymore. Unless you lie which is obviously illegal. So I do not suggest cancelling your masshealth until they kick you off. You can add your husbands to it as a secondary insurance when there is open enrollment. Pregnancy isnāt a qualify event? I thought in insurance terms pregnancy is considered a disability.

They rented it anyways and the owner of the building had some financial issues a few years back.
They should have purchased the old ChanningāBete property. It sold for a song all things considered.

It's just the building that's down the street from the Big store. The Village.
I worked on an ATM in the building. It's nice, but there was a ton of wasted space in there even back in like 2018. It's a smart idea to get rid of it and go somewhere smaller.

Itās at his sons house now, (itās the craziest thing I have ever seen) father passed away son is selling the family compound in Levrett. Has an underground pool grotto made to look like you are outside, couple car barns (heated and AC) bowling alley. Normal stuff

It must have been a pet project of founder Mike Kittredge. Everything changed after he sold the company. Now that YC is owned by Newell Brands itās all about quarterly profits for shareholders.

Yup. I usually donāt go through peopleās post history but if someone is downplaying the felony they committed and looking to acquire a gun, I figure a cursory look is worth it before we all jump in with support.
This guyās a mess. Posts from a year ago looking for escorts, asking about heroin, and seeking to cultivate cannabis (which is not a big deal in and of itself but maybe isnāt the best indicator this guy is some innocent dupe who made a mistake as a kid.)
He seems like exactly the kind of person who shouldnāt be anywhere near a gun because his judgment seems to be a wreck on multiple levels.

An amazing run for a company selling a non-essential commodity. Hopefully they can weather the shifting winds, but I think downsizing was inevitable competing with battery powered candles and plug-in scents.
