That’s interesting. I asked about it it a HIPAA sub as well and someone linked me to a law in MA. https://www.mass.gov/info-details/guide-on-the-disclosure-of-confidential-information-health-care-information

In reading the law, it seems like minors must give consent for care providers to release information relating to substance use disorders, sexually transmitted diseases, and a few other special conditions. Because diagnoses related to these conditions are kept within the general patient chart, I imagine this is why some providers are enacting policies limiting what parents can see without their teen’s consent?

Commute wise you’ll find yourself 5 minutes or less from 495 (with multiple options to enter/exit the highway), 7 minutes to 93 and a minute from rt 114. Less than 15 minutes to tax free shopping in New Hampshire. One minute from Pollo Centro. One of the best chicken restaurants in Lawrence. Exeter st is a working class neighborhood. It’s not the best part of Lawrence and it’s not the worst. You’ll be sandwich between the 24/7 convenience store and the housing projects. The convenience store is busy one and might see people walking to and from it at all times of the day. The intersection of Exeter and 114 does see it’s fair share of accidents. Depending on the day you might see Lawrence PD doing red light/ crosswalk enforcement on or near the intersection.

Happened with my eldest at 12. I noticed when I tried to confirm his annual appointment that year that he no longer appeared on my family portal page. I mentioned it while checking in at desk and receptionist said it happened automatically but she was able to easily re-authorize me and two years later he is still connected. I was not given any notification prior to it happening.

I dont know the specific law, but in this state 12 is the age when children are able to receive certain medical care without needing parental authorizations.

If you haven't already, just ask your child's Dr to reconnect you and, if necessary, ask your child to tell them it is okay. If your child refuses, ask yourself why they don't trust you with that info and work on your relationship with them.

Yes, South Lawrence, especially the Mount Vernon neighborhood abutting Andover is the nicest neighborhood in the city. Basically the closer you are to Andover/North Andover, the nicer it gets. This doesn't mean you won't have the general city atmosphere but it's definitely not the ghetto.

If you're not tied to a specific area and are comfortable with the commute, I'd suggest looking in Salem, NH and the surrounding areas. Real estate tends to be cheaper in NH. Might be worth it for a little more peace and quiet. Even check out Haverhill.

Not the business I’m looking for. Similar to those but definitely not an infomercial. It was a New England based local commercial that would play a lot in my area of Massachusetts. (Boston area) Every commercial would end with the daughter saying “oh no, here comes some more”. It was a commercial that played constantly. To the point my brother and I would jokingly use that phrase to poke fun at other similar commercials.

It always throws me when people other places in the world know what Yankee Candle is. In 8th grade I took a class trip to Alaska and we were poking around in a mall at one point and found a little Yankee Candle display. We told the shopkeeper we were from where Yankee Candle is from, and she was legitimately excited about it.

Really, though, I don't understand caring about the actual candles. If it wasn't the place I went to see Santa at Christmas, I can't imagine caring about it at all.
