You will hear 10 different opinions from 10 different people. The only thing that works for cutting through the bullshit red tape at Mass RMV is to show up in person and block a couple hours out of your schedule

I wish you the best of luck. Our RMV is the worst. I am in a similar situation only because of them - when I tried to restore my license after a suspension I was misled by two different employees, then when I took the trip to one of their major offices I was told I could have just renewed it at the local office but was now ONE day past that deadline and now have start from scratch like a kid. I'm 50, and I had a class B CDL. Not jumping through those hoops again!

This is directly from MA RMV site: If your (out of state) license has been expired more than 1 year, a full test (written and road) and an eye test will be required. If your license is active or is expired for less than 1 year, a written and road test is not required.

You might have a case for wrongful termination. I believe it’s a violation of retaliation laws, which I believe there are both federal and state. You made a good faith complaint against harassment in the workplace and got fired as a result. Document everything and look for a good attorney.

My pediatrician office said my son can’t give permission at all to access his records. The only thing I can see is billing. They said my son wasn’t allowed to give his permission for me to access his care. I just don’t think 12 year old is old enough to make all medical decisions.

Please do check it! I know what State HIPAA laws overrides Federal HIPAA law. So the MA law is what will be followed, even though it doesn’t seem entirely clear! Full disclosure: I’m not a parent. I work in healthcare and I’m trying to get a handle on policies around youth and their records. For what it’s worth, I agree with you!
