Alright, I'm curious. I'll bite.
How is this the dumbest comment you have ever read? The OP and a few others have wrongfully suggested only unemployed individuals could possibly protest. I word full-time from home and I know many people who have jobs, but they still manage to protest. So how is that dumb?
Or is it, simply, that you disagree with the protest? And if so, why?

As far as I know polar plunge (which idk if it's a trademarked name or anything) isn't strictly for new years but I guess it's not the same thing as what this guy was doing if you want to take get into it. When I did it was usually first thing in the morning

Yeah no argument there. Anybody who's done it before knows it can be dangerous. I have only ever done it in the ocean or lakes but never alone.

10 miles west is more like Newton! No view like that there.

Also this is supposed to be on the way to Lincoln from downtown Boston, so I'm guessing this is, IDK, Beaver Brook next to the golf course? 😅

Increase biomass means younger 100-year forests are maturing, but there's still a decrease in acreage (even if only slightly in the last decade or so). We've seen a larger decrease in forest area since the 60s.

Holding your breath is a better technique, IMO. I always get my way when I do that.

Cold showers wouldn't work for that? You have to use open water?
