Not even close, I do a ton of hiking all over the northeast, berkshires, catskills, adirondacks, whites etc etc. If anywhere around here looked like that I'd be a happier person just in general.

But without Metrowest NIMBYs to lean on, how will Massholes brag that our state is so superior to other states? The NIMBYs have the best schools, the best test scores, the safest towns, access to the best healthcare, the healthiest populations, etc. Without them, we're... average.

Worcester, Lowell, Framingham, Fall River -- these are not exactly cities to brag about. We need the NIMBYs so we can continue shouting at everyone that, "MA is better than your state! Just look at the stats, baby!"

My heart breaks for all of them. Including the mom.... if she was in a psychosis due to postpartum, there's a good chance she doesn't REALLY understand what she did.... and honestly, if that is the case, there's gonna be no punishment worse than the guilt she will feel once she "feels better" snaps out of it. Or whatever...

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what the proposed rents would be? Does this even help with housing? Last I read it was for 200 units 50 of which were to be affordable or 80% the median income for the area (Weston) Is this just building more high-end housing (which we have plenty of) or is the support for this just a F U to the people who have done financially better. (serious question)

Natick is where suburbanite vanillas live in their empty husks before they have to corrode their petty lives away in the mass pike to go rent their bodies out in the city before trudging back to their husks

What misery - and they convince themselves it’s worth it 🤦‍♂️

This 40-50 degree highs every day of January just didn’t use to happen here. I remember having a week of school cancelled because it was too cold to have kids wait for the bus. the highs were in the single digits with wind chill well into negatives. School cancelled because pipes burst everywhere.

On another note, I’d remember every spring when you could finally use the fields again. We wouldn’t see grass from December until at least the middle of March.

I hate this blah overcast, 45 degree shit. It’s going to stay like this until may too. That’s the depressing part. At least I used to be able to make epic snow forts and sled and snowboard in a lot of snow. Now that I’m adult it’s just convenient for it to not be snowing. People are going to forget how to live in the extreme cold And snow pretty quickly. Kids growing up here today have a totally different climate than I had here growing up 20 years ago
