You need to be on your own health plan now. The 26 age thing does not apply to Masshealth plans. Only to employer/private health coverage. Once you marry you are no longer eligible on your fathers Masshealth plan, and need to find your own health insurance. If you do not have health coverage through your employer. And your husband does not have it available through his. You have to apply for it yourselves via Masshealth. Either individually, or as a married couple.

The subreddit r/MassachusettsYoreAndLore does not exist. Maybe there's a typo?

Consider creating a new subreddit r/MassachusettsYoreAndLore.

Police and public safety in general should still be afforded the right to strike for better working conditions as well as pay. Employees at the state level with essential designation jobs currently do not have any effective bargaining power. That said, I’m for the POST Commission, and other police reform policies.

The state isn’t always correct when they make changes that in those fields and there is a difference between a meaningful strike and a police temper tantrum.

Have lived in NB all my life, have had several relatives living in Mattapoisett. It’s a nice little town with its share of bureaucracy. There are families that have been there for generations but there is also a lot of new blood as of late and unfortunately an uptick in seasonal homes.

Generally it’s peaceful, has a decent town beach and is close enough to Fairhaven for shopping needs and Downtown NB for culture and nightlife. Good luck!
