I’m looking for a good reason to get out of the apartment that provides some sense purpose outside of the work environment and allows me feel part of the community I live in. I haven’t volunteered a ton in my life so I don’t know what would foot the bill. I suppose working at a food bank would cut it, or mentoring people about my field, or helping out in a retirement home. No idea. I really thought it’d be easier to find something. I guess you have to know people.

Yeah, that's not a ringing endorsement of the policy. And the bill in question simply lets towns and cities impose rent controls at their own discretion. I cannot in good conscience support that bill. It's a bad idea that will make the housing problem in Massachusetts worse with no guarantee that it will have any positive impacts.
