Drive out to the Berkshires, there's a web of good hiking trails out this way all through the county.

Monadnock on a weekday since the lots fill up so early on the weekend (unless you’re brave enough to venture down fort roads with no gps to find the secret parking lot on the weekend)

Mt Watatic, Pack Monadnock, Mt Wachusett are within 1 hour and are great hikes and rarely get overly crowded.

Catholic schools are much cheaper than daycare. That can always be an option for the year. But you might possibly have problems getting into kindergarten after

Unfortunately, the more southern NH mountains get very crowded on the weekends. Check out the AMC's posts like this: https://www.outdoors.org/resources/amc-outdoors/adventures/6-of-the-best-hikes-in-southern-new-hampshire/
And please bring a real map.

I can't stand those Moms who continue to count their baby's age in months after 1 year old. They're all, oh she's 37 months old now! Umm no, lady.

I lived in Chicago during the 2019 polar vortex. It was -23 degrees and -52 with windchill. Our crappy apartment heat couldn’t keep up and it dropped to 55 degrees.
This time, bless our steam boilers that kept it at a toasty 68 degrees last night.

Did you ask your union? 99% of mass state employees have a union. Talk to you union Rep asap. FYI I work for SEIU 509 we may represent you. Check your pay check to see what local you’re paying dues to.
