Yeah just wasn’t sure if it was worse if you only got a permit.

There’s a waiting list of over 1200 planes waiting for hangar space..

These Concord NIMBY’s have been fighting for years but the feds keep siding with the airport. Shuttle America in the late 90’s early 2000’s was awesome. I flew out of Hanscom with my family on vacation back then…

You could be sued for injuring a passenger in a crash you caused if you had a full operators license.

Have you ever seen a BB gun? They are replicas of real guns with no orange cap. It wasn’t a fucking squirt gun she pulled on them

I lived in Lexington for 20 years. There were small private jets and the occasional airliner coming in and out regularly. Traffic actually decreased over the time I lived there.

Fair point on the increased traffic. Of note I saw a Delta livery at Hanscom on Sunday, thought it was out of place, but I suspect it was for maintenance or something.

Airport was there, but barely used. About 10 years ago they enlarged it, built hangars, and allowed it to be used by private jet operators.

I’m torn. It would be awesome to be able to avoid Logan but we live under one of the approaches to Hanscom. We get a lot traffic descending through 3000 feet, which I kind of enjoy actually, but big jets, maybe not. It would certainly change the character of neighborhoods near the ends of the runways. Otoh, the base used to be so active that neighbors had to clean soot off their houses. That was when most military traffic was prop driven.

How do you think 27 hangars-worth of planes will get there? Tow trucks on route 2?

I agree, I don’t know how gas can crash by what looks like well over 50% but then we only get a 10-15% reduction? We are being taken to the cleaners for the remainder of the heating season is what it feels like.

If you have a learners permit only and crash your car and your passenger gets hurt or dies, would it be possible to be sued by the family of the passenger because you only had a permit? Idk tbh my comment was supposed to be framed more of like a question.

I didn't read anything in the ENF that indicated more jet traffic. Can you point it out to me?

What, exactly, would be the legal theory for suing someone because they had an unlicensed passenger in the car?

When I moved to Concord aviation movements out of Hanscom were few and far between and mostly small private prop planes. Now I have planes over my house at about 1500 feet at alll times of the day a couple of weeks ago a Delta charter 757 took off at 2:45 AM. that’s the issue

All the sports teams fly in and out of Hanscom on Chartered Commercial Aircraft. Not uncommon to see Delta, JetBlue Jets.
