You need to have your friend contact the Volunteer Lawyers Project ASAP! This is gonna be a messy legal situation and your friend is going to need to get a lawyer. the link above will provide your friend with pro bono legal aid and will probably get your friend paid their missing money. This is not a matter that will be taken lightly, but time is of the essence in making sure the proper people are on your friends side.

It's funny seeing democrats and republicans arguing over who are the biggest boot lickers. We have the war on drugs on one side and public health pandemics on the other side (Covid and firearms). Seems like everyone is all for the police doing shady shit as long as its their shady shit.

Dude. If you practically just show up to work consistently for 2 years straight you’ll be at 60k without a degree. The problem is no one wants to work like that. I made 80k and worked 70 hours a week.

Try it out.

You can complain - which is the easiest way to accomplish nothing - or you can work your face off, save and be ready for the next time there is a shake out. If you put away 30k you can pull it off. Stop buying vaporizers and vaporizer accessories.

It's kind of like that inasmuch as it's civil and not criminal. And it's been awhile since I've read up on that case. But I think he was found civilly liable for a wrongful death.

These civil asset forfeiture cases require no such finding of individual guilt or innocence (responsible or not responsible). This is trial against the evidence itself.

It might be like State of New York v. Yacht.

With 4 or more units I believe they need to work with your property manager to get the entire building looked at, not just your unit. I ran into the exact same issue but my PM is currently in the process of figuring out how this works after I gave them the contacts. Will try to update you when we hear back, if I remember. No telling how long this will take ha!

If your idea of getting by starts with an 80k job, you're so far out of touch. Most people will never have, nor have the opportunity to hit 80k in their life. It's frustrating to see people complain without knowing their struggle or how they're grinding themselves to get to the next stage regardless, but most people are. They're just complaining as an outlet. Even if they're not, this privileged bootstrap shit is laughable.

No doubt. And he got pulled over because he was NOT speeding. That just happened to me a couple months ago. I was going 30 in a 35 on rural MA roads at night in the rain. In the end I didn’t get a ticket but the cop tried telling me that I had had a ticket in MA in the past - totally not true. I told him so and he just backed down and said “ok have a nice night.” But the whole time I was fuming and it was all I could do to keep my mouth shut and be “polite.”
