I saw someone get pulled over on 128 on Tuesday. Lived here my whole life and I don't think I've ever seen a state trooper in the act of pulling someone over.

Following you on this because Bridge St is no longer 24 hours and my survival strategy was to go at 1am.

You should research “motel caswell” in Tewksbury. It closed years ago and is now a retail strip but the government tried to take the property through civil forfeiture. There were 14 drug related arrests at the property during a time where he rented 200,000 rooms. I used to live up there and there was more drug activity at a McDonald’s down the street but the government didn’t go after that corporate property.
The owner ended up having to front $100,000 in legal fees before a non profit ended up taking the case. The judge ended up ruling in caswells favor after years of stress and money spent.
This is the problem with civil forfeiture because you need to prove your innocence against the government which has unlimited resources compared to a private citizen. The government just has to make an accusation.

It was a probability a special detail and they were all getting overtime for it, of course there will be six more troopers who submit paperwork saying they were there. When actually they were at home.

I see your point, and I agree that this is essentially market forces squeezing out less fit businesses, which is sort of a good thing. But on the ground, what that translates to is that becoming a small business owner feels like it’s no longer a pathway to the middle class for a lot of folks in this state. A generation or two ago, anyone with the organizational skills and gumption to start a business had a fair shot. The odds are just much worse now.

Are your garden hoses connected? If that fire gets out of hand, you may need a plan to put it out.

Call your FD, Cities like Springfield open fires are not allowed at all. I'm that asshole that calls the cops on my neighbors as I don't want their smoke in my drafty house

I changed my pharmacy to walmart and will have nothing to do with cvs.
They adjust my meds, say they are out, claim shortages, charge double copays once online and once in the store, super disorganized and the pharmacist is just plain rude.
Had an excellent experience at walmart. Their prices can't be beat and neither can their access to the supply chain due to their volume.

I think overall we are safer as a state. If not for the police , laws and rights we have which differ from state to state then why would you say we are safer per capita than 95% of the rest of the country? By the way, I believe the only states safer than us are Maine and Vermont if I’m not mistaken. So why is this region of the country leaps and bounds safer than the rest?

Just dig a hole and call it a firepit. I burn branches/sticks when they fall in my yard year round, as long as its in a firepit it doesn't matter.

Need to check local regs. Most larger MA cities/towns have a full ban on burning yard waste at all times for both safety but mostly air quality concerns. The definition of a cooking fire in these towns is very narrow for this exact reason. But those cities, such as Worcester, have yard waste drop off sites.

Once again, the bOTh sidEz brigade completely lacks any sense of nuance.
No, having basic rules for society to live by, is not remotely equivalent to cops murdering people over traffic stops, no matter how badly lolberts want to feel oppressed.

I’m a management professional and I work with entrepreneurs every day— and it ain’t a walk in the park starting a small business in Massachusetts. The cost of doing business in this state is simply insurmountable for most would-be entrepreneurs who live here.

CVS or any other pharmacy’s accuracy / diligence quality is directly linked to the quality of management and oversight of frontline staff. I have had crazy HIPAA violation worthy experiences at CVS, Walgreens, and RiteAid; at mom and pop pharmacies I have not encountered any issue larger than a delay of a prescription being filled

I’ve enjoyed and had good luck using a Stop and Shop pharmacy. Only challenge is their limited hours.

I switched from CVS to Big Y pharmacy. They close at 7 but this doesn’t matter to me. I also shop there so it’s convenient
