I wouldn’t recommend it.

My wife works for a hospital. Salary isn’t great, but the health benefits make it worth it. $80 bucks a week for her plus me (spouse) with no deductible and copays that range from 15-25$.

It’s insane to think of it as a win, but when the alternative is my insurance at like $600 bucks a month with a 3k deductible and $50 co pays, it adds up

Sumatriptan - generic version of Imitrex. Works wonders for me. I believe my migraines are triggered by weather/change in pressures. I went so long suffering hours and days with migraines with no relief. Went to a doctor about 15 years ago and got me on it. I take half a pill when I feel one coming on. I know one is coming even before the headache part starts. Within an hour I have relief. Insurance only covers 9 pills for 30 days, 100mg. Against medical advice, I split them in half to give me more relief beyond the insurance mandated 9 migrants. Works just the same. I would recommend it to anyone suffers from migraines. I do know it doesn't work for everyone. Some people have different symptoms during their migraine episodes.

I’m certainly not opposed to adjusting the self defense laws, but thats deff a complicated undertaking as most “castle doctrine” and “stand you ground” laws are treated as green lights for people to kill their fellow Americans. But that is a bit of a different conversation.

To the topic at hand I’d argue that since there is minimal return on investment from raising police budgets we are just wasting money in doing so. Government is inherently inefficient as sits, so I’m not sure why throwing money intentionally into bottomless pit should be considered.

At the end of the day police is just an investment in public safety and one that, even if it worked as claimed, at best will only suppress crime. If we instead used that money to build up and support communities there would be a better chance of that investment paying off. If we are in agreement that our safety is due more in part to how our state’s society is run, shoring up and expanding those programs certainly wouldn’t hurt. I’m by no means advocating removing the cops, more we are just at the point of diminishing returns with them and we need to look to other solutions.

And a shout out to the late, great European, in the North End. It's been decades, and I still miss that place...

There used to be a place in the basement of tbe Holyoke Mall about a decade ago, and that was really good, too.

Ok if you are hung up on semantics - Winchester is not a NICU - it’s a level 2B special care nursery. There’s a difference. I work at a level 3 nicu and (after working my third 12 hour shift in a row) I was not thinking people would particularly care about the distinction between my working in a nicu and maternal child health field. I am well aware of the difference.

I work with neonatologists from Brigham, MGH, and BI and all of them were shocked to hear that I had to share a room postpartum. It is NOT the norm - for a reason. My point was that it is FAR from the norm to share a room when you are on mother/baby unit and it was a horrible experience.

Winchester may have a wonderful special care nursery - I wouldn’t know because thankfully my son did not require it. But the experience I had was atrocious.

The cash IS in the will even if not specified, it was still his “belongings”. Also, a senile person cannot change a beneficiary—they don’t have the requisite capacity to do so. Therefore, the change of beneficiary is not effective. Get yourself a lawyer, ASAP. The evidence of sexual crimes is another matter—go to the police. You need to act fast on this will issue before the money can’t be traced. Also, the insurance company needs to be notified right away that the change in beneficiary is being challenged before they pay him the money. Get going!
